Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Our case was expedited while our civil documents and AOS were still with the NVC. My husband went to the interview expecting the consular officer to have all of our documents. They didn't have anything, consular asked my husband to submit the AOS in the drop box - He submitted the AOS that didn't even have my signature along with my last 4 recent pay stubs.

I called the national visa center and they informed me that they still have my documents and that when they get to them they will eventually return those packages to my address and then I would have to submit them to the embassy.

We were put on AP for 2 days and after two days, the visa was issued!

The consular officer just asked my husband my parent's names and took his passport and said if everything is fine, they will issue the visa!

My husband is going to pick up the passport tomorrow!!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my journey with you all, hopefully it will help some of you.
Today may be my final day of waiting for my fiance's visa, god willing.

My dates may be a little off on this post, but on my timeline they are accurate.

I sent in my I-129F packet on January 27, 2014 and it was recieved on February 4, 2014. I got my NoA1 soon after in the mail.
My NoA2 was approved in about 31 days. I am so grateful because I know that is extremely fast!
I had an attorney helping me, and he advised me to wait for the hardcopy and then my fiance could fill out the DS-160.
About two weeks later, I called NVC to see if they had recieved my packet. The guy on the phone was really nice and even gave me extra information without me asking (how to schedule an interview, when the packet left NVC.)
My packet reached Kabul. Afghanistan within three days. My case was created on March 24, 2014.

hello everyone, My fiance just had his interview done at the us embassy in kabul Afghanistan, thank god its over and he has received yellow card which states you are in AP( Administrative Processing) as of now. the reason he is in AP is because he has to do his Medical examination which will be on Wednesday and the CO(interviewer) said once you brought your medical examination result, just drop it off in our office with your passport and then we will print the visa. this one just confused me a little bit because they dont tell you that we will print visa unless they are sure about everything and also she said just keep your phone on 24 hours so when we call you to come and pick up your visa. My fiance also said that in our file it was stamped that it is not fraud and its Legitimate case, the interview was smooth and she asked couple questions like
1. How did you meet your fiance?
2. How many times have you guys met?
3. what does she do for living?? and how come sh... read complete review

My fiance and I have been on AP since May 2012. My hands are tied and there is nothing I can do. Is there anyone else that has been on AP longer than Me?
