its been 8 months or roller coaster ride for me from csc to tsc .....and now that i got the approval for my wife...we are worried about the Medical exam at st lukes, my wife was diagnosed with uveitis last dec 2010 and now shes still on medications...steroids pills, steroid eyedrops to stop the inflammation on hey eye....we are worried that it might effect the medical exam or might cause her to fail the exam..we dont know....anyone here has any idea? another roller coaster i guess......
Yes! I found the new thread!!
Hmmm,,, I am not very well versed on the topic,,, but I have a similar concern with my wifes daughter who has severe CP. My concern was similar in that I was concerned that the disability may prevent an "approval" through the medical exam stage. My lawyer told me that she had never had a case denied due to a medical condition or disability as long as the petitioner showed capable means of supporting the beneficiary. She made it sound as if the governments primary concern is that the beneficiary doesn't become a hardship on the health-care system,,, but should be a non-issue if petitioner meets the financial requirements (and employeed with a company with decent medical insurance).
I can't say for certain that a medical case would never be scrutinized for some reason,,, but I felt comfortable with my particular situation based on what legal council shared with me. Hopefully there will be others out there with a similar situation as yours and can minimize any concerns.

so anybody else? is it slowing down? I little bummed down again no approval for me... 213 days... simply got a touch... No email no text.. oh well...
I just got back into my uscis account,,, awwwwwwwwwwwww! NADA!!! Not even a touch!! AYUDA!!!
-
How do you know when you get a touch??? :S
You can create an account on the USCIS web site. You enter in your case numbers,,, and there will be a column that reflects a "last activity" date. That date = last touched, and can be touched for a variety of reasons....most desirable of course is for approvals!

I somehow locked myself out of my uscis account (too many invalid log-in attempts I suppose,,,
). Can anyone tell me how I can get reactivated (please) ??

Uhg! No new updates for me either! I am somewhat optimistic that the news-flash will truly yield some amazingly high-volume approvals!
Well,,, I'm going to go check a new web site I heard about,,,,maybe there's good news to be found there:

For those of you getting email alerts whenever a post in this thread, I can hear you know, "Damn that SqdnGuns, not again!!"
Well, my persistence paid off, I just got an email from the Director of the Texas Service Center, this is a reply to one that I sent to her 20 minutes before getting this reply.
Mr. Grant,
Thank you for your email. I had received one over the weekend from you and your case was approved this morning. You should be able to see it on the case status online tomorrow or Wednesday. I would have to agree with you that the process was temporarily broken, but we have taken steps to correct this and we will have all cases processed within the next weeks. Hopefully your future experiences with USCIS and with TSC will be more positive. My apologies for your wait, and I hope that your son recovers soon and fully.
Regards,
Angela K. Barrows
I truly hope that hey have fixed their errors for the sake of the rest of you. I am waiting to hear back from her whether our case will be expedited @ NVC and the Embassy.
Wow! That's wonderful news!! I hope to see a report from you very soon confirming that your case status(s) have indeed been upgraded on the website, followed by hard-copy mailed approvals! The best of luck as you move into the next phase!

I got this message from TSC today saying all applications will have a response within 2 weeks:
"Unfortunately, our office is closed today because of the ice/snow storm that has hit Texas, but I did not want you to wait to hear from me. The I-130s are the priority for the Texas Service Center and we will have an action taken on every petition within the next 2 weeks. On a separate note, we are working with our call centers to ensure a more accurate and consistent delivery of information so hopefully your experience will not be repeated."
Wow! That's a rather encouraging message compared to many I've seen here! I hope it has merit!

Just a random, meaningless post to help us break the 300 page mark tonight!
Sooo,,,, just 1 approval today? Augh! I guess the wintery weather in TX really may be slowing things down a bit?
-
Wow,,, no approvals in a while. Hopefully this is the calm before the approval storm!
-
There will be at least one more approval for someone on this thread before days end,,,, I feel it! It's going to happen! It won't be me,,, but I'm feeling it for somebody!

I am one of the early July filers. Are you guys with me in sueing USCIS for discrepencies (august/sept/oct filers are approved, but we are not)? I researched on it. http://www.fitzgeraldlawcompany.com/faqs/suing-immigration-service.htm
I am planning to do class action lawsuit against USCIS. Please leave your opinion
Personally. I would be concerned to go after a government agency with a lawsuit in a situation like this. For most, I believe the cases are maybe 1-2 months past the desired 5-month processing time. Is that enough elapsed time to file a suit...? ...I'm not sure but doesn't seem like it would be,,,especially since there's no uscis guarantee for any case to be completed within the 5-month target.
I would be afraid that if my name were on such a class action suit, they would just get peeved and somehow misplace my file! It could also potentially result in even further delays if suddenly they (uscis) had to engage in legal proceedings for all the cases listed on the suit. The link you have referenced also mentioned that even if you win your case,,,the anticipated time for them to complete processing & obtain approvals is 180 days! Man! What if legally the uscis could then re-start the clock over again with the dreaded 180 day time frame! Augh!
I don't know,,,, maybe it would have merit,,, but I'm a big chicken! bak bak!

I hope you get to be together for your anniversary. My husband and i missed our one year and his birthday. I am scared he will miss our sons first birthday in June at the rate this is moving.
Thank you! I really wish your an expeditious timeline also! Frustrating having to wait longer than first imagined... but I guess deep down inside I knew that this could potentially take longer than desired! It's a good thing we married someone we would wait forever for! Augh!
-
Awww.... I was hoping for mucho approvals this night! Maybe some around midnight!
Man,,,yesterday was my wife's birthday,,,still apart! Our one year anniversary is at the end of March,,, I wonder what the chances are we'll be together by then? Augh!

Aww... another night another stationary blue dot staring me in the face! It's like being really up close to a smurf!

I'm about to start prank calling USCIS to pass the time. What could I ask the Tier 1 CS reps?
Ask them if their refrigerator is running. When he says "yes"... say to them "Well,,, you better go catch it! I just saw it running down the street with my petition file!" Ha ha,,,
Awww,,, i know,,,, LAME!!
