  1. Have you guys continued, compiling more "EVIDENCE" after I-130 was submitted?

(such as more skype logs, phone records, email etc etc...after I-130 was submitted?)

Wondering if we need or its a good idea to have MORE evidence for the Interview? :hehe:

or do we just take duplicate of what we sent to USCIS when I-130 was submitted? :hehe:

If the question is: "How much evidence is enough?"

    The answer is: "More"

  2. Oh, #######, really?! Never mind, I recant my statement. It'll probably be a century before USCIS gets everything automated, and error-free headbonk.gif

Yep... part of the Department of Homeland Security (a name that has always bothered me.. sounds far too much like something else).

We're lucky that TSA feelups aren't required just to get the visa... though, it does kill me that I'm going to have to apologize to Sue for the TSA when she comes here.. :(:ranting:

Just got off hold... no date scheduled, but also no "We're done with April" nonsense either.

I guess I'll just call back this evening and see if anything has changed by then...

    And tomorrow...

    And the next day....

  3. That's pretty much how the system should be at USCIS for petitions. But, alas, even though we have that kind of technology, they're not implementing it.

The good news is that NVC is starting to roll out EP and online forms to more and more countries. When I was at NVC last year, only two or three countries were eligible. Now the list has grown to about 10 countries or so. Within just one year. I'm sure NVC still has a ways to go to implement both EP and online forms to ALL countries, but it's getting there, albeit slowly.

Hopefully, USCIS will see how effective the EP and online forms are and will then start rolling it out on their end, most likely slowly as well.

I'm sure (hopefully) in a decade or so, this whole immigration process will be as automated as it can be, or at least more so than it is now.

Don't forget... USCIS is part of the same Department that gave birth to the TSA.....

  4. Just re-send the DS-3032 if you think something is wrong.

It could be possible. But I'm from Canada and it took 5 months to get our NOA2. All my documents were in English, and are similar to American documents. According to your logic, it should have been extremely easy to verify documents and should have flown thrown CSC.

There is that. There were also cases where people from the UK and such also inexplicably slowed to a crawl. In any case, they clearly have some serious load balancing issues. Of course, being the government there is no incentive to sort it out and fix the issue. As I used to say in the CSC July thread: "They get to go home to their families at night, so why should they care?"

  5. It actually doesn't. It depends on USCIS's workload and which desk your case landed on, whether it was a fast reviewing officer or a slow reviewing officer.

I'm not entirely certain about that though. During the slog through CSC there were some definite patterns to who tended to fly through CSC faster than others and there did seem to be a possible link to the beneficiaries country. Of course, we all know that correlation doesn't necessarily equal causation. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the service centers are generally organized into groups who do certain regions. It would only make sense to avoid endless "Is this really a marriage document from country X?" type questions. Such organization alone could lead to patterns of speed and/or slowness.

  6. They just told me the same thing "they are done with April's scheduling and there's a chance for the 2nd week of May to be " appears to be generic response as we are within different Embassies and got the same answer.

I thought it might be just a generic response. Just like '20 business days'. What's bad is that it is one thing to give out incorrect information from time to time, it's a whole other to systematically give generic responses that are in effect lies.

I'll call them again later and I imagine I'll get "lied" to again, unless I'm lucky like Ryan H was... :D

  7. Well, it would have helped, had you bagged a deer and made 300 venison jiaozi, and donated them all to a homeless shelter.

See, Zen is really cool and interesting, if'n ya know what yer doing.

    But in the meantime -

Relax, you. The cogs are spinning in overdrive, back at NVC, for yer casefile.

If you need a timekiller, please read all 120 pages of the DJ Walker Thread over at

    DJ Walker - http://www.visajourn...1451-uscis-nvc/

    LoL

<-- sneaks into NVC with a bottle of oil for the cogs and some nitro for the engine...

  8. whew - dodged a bullet.

Lebanon interview in Beirut - is not any rehoming to Palestine, which is rehomed to Israel.

    My apologies for my confusion.

but do contact an NVC Supervisor - get some sense of what's what, where the casefile will be headed, where the interview will occur.

How many jiaozi you make this weekend?

Did you skip a deposit into the Zen Bank ? :D

    :P That's no help! :P:lol:
