WOW! heads up! I have been having a discussion with a fellow VJ'er. And I wanted to put the warning out. Be careful with your "ceremonies" that look too much like a wedding. Even if it is not a legal wedding , but the photos look as though it is a wedding you just gave them a reason to see a red flag (If you have applied for a K1). The VJ'er is getting denied because the embassy thinks they are really married.
Think about the photos BEFORE you send them!!!-
And I quote: " Nişan is organized and performed in “Düğün Salonu”, the wedding Hall. However the upcoming marriage was first declared via “Söz Kezme Merasimi” , ıt was just a declaration to the close family members and relatives. Nişan Töreni, The Engagement Ceremony is for a wider decleration for all the people such as neighbours, acquintances, friends etc…

Michelle, didn't you and Baha have a traditional "Nişan" (The Engagement & party)??
This ceremony is both cultural and traditional with a Turkish family. It is that third step towards marriage traditionally. The embassy LOOKS FOR SUCH in packet 3 (which is to prove there was an engagement). There are couples from Turkey that couldn't prove their engagement (lack of pictures of Nişan - The Engagement)which is a hallmark criteria for a K1, or I-129F Petition. ...

Hi, I shall be having my flight this coming july 7, 2011, and our spouse visa was already granted we are going to migrate in St. Louise, Missouri. My problem is Our Immigrant Data Summary was accidentally tampered. Because we have thoughts that it was just nothing if we open it. And now I'm very worried because of that incident.Could this be a big problem??.

Bahadir has been working constantly 12 hour days finally he got a day off yesterday and today! He has gotten all his paperwork together for this visa in a day and half! Proactive man! Now we are hoping for a August interview! Everything is set!! Hold on VJ'ers waiting...its worth the wait
