since i am the one that just started my journey then i should be the one crying about the length of time it will take for it to all end, but i, unlike some people choose to just deal with it instead of whine about it. i, just like the rest of you really can't do anything to speed up this whole thing. bashing the faceless workers that are the pawns of the evil empire that is the USCIS is completely and utterly pointless (as regards to this whole topic is basically saying in the first place)
yes i understand that this forum isn't strictly for the administrative advice but also as a sounding board for people who just want to vent
what i don't understand is people can post that everyone is entitled to their opinion and then lash out at those who differ from their opinion.
there are filers who i've seen waited a year for their I-130 approval and end up just expressing their gratitude rather than spend the whole 12 months cursing the same system that they're relying on.
i can go on and on about what my point is but since it's obviously gone over some people's heads then so be it. like i said that was my 2 cents.
we can go about it in a positive manner such as encouraging people who filed after us or just be bitter little souls in some corner crying about the conspiracy of the U.S. Government to do them harm by keeping them away from their loved ones.

my whole point was that not everyone gets screwed. you're right. it is a matter of opinion to say that the service people are getting is substandard. what are you comparing it to? seriously, you act like you've never been to your local dmv and gotten screwed by the bitter person behind the desk.
all i'm saying is that bitching and moaning about the whole experience really is pointless. we all signed up for this, didn't we? we all knew exactly what was going to go down. 5 months and change at CIS and 4 and change at NVC blah blah blah. it's a choice to say boohoo look at me i have to wait months and months oh god forbid a year for my spouse. at the end of the day, though... did it make the wait go by faster? did it change the way the system is ran? no it didn't and it won't change anytime soon.
it's just my opinion that it's a little pathetic to bash the same system and the people who work in it and at the same time clamor to live in the country that employs that system.

i get it. it's a painful experience to be away from your loved one while we wait for the process to run it's course...
but what i don't understand is why people act like it's a surprise. why the whole self-entitled rants? "i'm mr and miss U.S. Citizen and i demaaaaaand some service"!!!! i mean, the U.S. Govt. didn't MAKE you marry someone that isn't a U.S. Citizen. we all knew it was not going to be "i now pronounce you U.S. Citizen because you married one", right?
if people hate the system so much then why not pack all your sh*t and move to your foreign mate's country? ohhhh that's right... because as much as people b*tch about the States, it's probably a whole lot better than the mate's country.
the time frame given to us are estimates. NOT U.S. BACKED GUARANTEES. if they want to get you out of there as quickly as possible or let you rot for an eternity, guess what, that's the choice we made.

if you want it to, everything will work out for you. don't listen to people call you horrible things. just handle it. good luck to you.

congrats! if there was to be a case that needed to be expedited, it's yours. good luck with the expedite through NVC as well.

that's why i made sure i was extra courteous. juuuuuust in case. at least if they did take notes they can say calls too much but isn't an a-hole

hopefully you get yours soon. under 4 months. that would be a great sign for the rest of us.

what i don't understand is you keep screaming at people here? is it any of our faults you were dealt your situation? did these people bribe anyone at the USCIS to get through before you? was there some secret way to cut in line ahead of you?
my point being is that maybe you should quit being bitter here because we are all in the same boat in this thread in terms of just being happy for the ones that get out of the USCIS and keeping positive in the hopes that we also get the chance to get through as quickly as possible.
