Yes, I feel for anyone dealing with the backlog at Vermont.
Actually, it California has skipped over some August and September filers as well as many October, November, and December filers and is now approving February filers, LOL!!!
See Igor's List under Immigration Timelines.
This whole process makes me understand why many simply cross the border under cover of darkness...
-
BTW: A quick review of the 13 2011 K1 approvals on Igor's List shows that only 3 of the those were from The Philipines or Eqypt. So not sure that's the reason...

Everyone on this board has hardships. We all have stories that would melt a caring person's heart. We all understand world events and have simpathy for those in need...
However, the only truly fair way to process these K1 apps is "first come, first serve". Anything else is not right and should not happen.
I for one, doubt there is any valid reason for these "early" approvals other than the whole system is haphazard and inherently broken. I do appreciate the attempts to explain, I just don't believe it.

Very happy for you and your loved one! Honestly, because I wish that no one had to wait five+ months for a procedure that takes 15-30 minutes.
However, very disappointed that the "first in, first out" process is not being followed at CSC
Still, all the best and smooth journey the rest of the way for you guys!

That's just wrong. But at least you know they haven't lost your package and it will only add a couple of weeks until you get your approval. Better days are coming for you!
-
Warning: vent to follow...
Why on Earth does it take 5-7 months to review a package that should take not more than 30 minutes to go through? Oh, and we get to pay $450 for this too, LOL!!!
This part of our government is broken!
OK, I feel better now!

awesome!!!!!!!

Wow. We are all in the same boat here (or were). A little civility goes a long way. Sometimes it's not what you say, but how you say it. Almost appears that some people are more concerned with being "right" than helping others? Just my 2 cents...

Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

CHEERS!!!!

One more thing: US Citizen, use your Consulate! That's what the USCIS website says to do and your tax dollars and citizenship entitle YOU (not necessarily the alien beneficiary) to service. They work for YOU! Put THEM (Consulate) to work! As I said, the DOS is awesome!

Almost forgot: DONT WAIT FOR NOA2!!!! Request police certs now so you wont have to wait once package 3 comes from you interviewing location. Good Luck!

Hi,
I needed a police certificate from Turkmenistan for my fiancee. Just followed the instructions on THE uscis WEBSITE: I (US Citizen)sent email to US Consulate in Turkmenstan requesting fiancee's police certificate for K1 Visa process. They replied via email next day asking for dates, places, where she lived and copies of her Turkmenistan passport. Sent that info via email next day(scanned copy of passport was OK). Consulate Section replied via email that they received the the info the next day and told me it would take 3-4 weeks to process. Got it at 5 weeks along with a certified translation from Russian to English!
The Consulate in Ashgebat was awesome! Made me proud to be American and impressed my fiancee who thought it would take forever! Thank God for the Dept. of State!

I'm with you on this: I am happy for the folks with 2-3 month approvals, BUT what is going on here? As a former federal employee, I can assure you there are NO bonus $ at stake for team performance (at least not in Dept. of Veteran's Affairs where I worked).
I have no problem waiting my turn for 5 months for a chore that likley takes 15-30 minutes for most cases, but when others are processed ahead of time, that seems unfair. Yah, I know "life isn't fair". Just sayin'...

We were touched Feb 11th too!
Nice!!!
We're moving right along!

Hey Y'all!
Any late October or early November filers get a touch in the last week? We got one on Friday 2/11. I know they don't necessarily mean anything good/bad/otherwise, but at least i know it's in the building, LOL!
I think they are still working Late August-early September (with approvals on apps with as late as 9/20/10 NOA1's).
Just wonderin' and good luck to all of you on your Journey

Hang in there! I noticed some approvals from NOA1's dated 9/20/10. You're just about there!

Ronald Reagan was the single biggest factor in the fall of the Iron curtain and freedom for millions of people around the world. He is beloved by Americans on both sides of the aisle and was perhaps the most respected American leader (note: "respected", not loved or adored) of the 20th century. We could use a man of his caliber in the White House today.

One of the really nice things about the USA is that we are a "melting pot" made up of peope from every corner of the globe who all come here seeking something: freedom, love, success, whatever. You will not have to try very hard to find others who share your experiences and perhaps even your culture and background. Although there are no gaurantees that things will work out, I am certain that you will enjoy the benefits of what in my opinion is the still the beacon of freedom: The United States of America! Can't wait to welcome you to the USA and good luck on your journy!

35 days for a K1? Wow!!! Who did she know, LOL!!!
-
Happy for you both!!

Congrats and all the best to you both!

BTW: I recommend doing business via email so you have a written record of who, when, what was said. That might make a difference some time down the road.
Adding Proof of Relationship after NOA1
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

You are right. I stand corrected. Civility, courtesy, and good manners all have no place in this forum. They may be the basic tenants of western civilization, but they won't get you a visa, so we should abandon them.
Sorry you felt scolded. Really. Have a nice day
