  1. We opted to use her last name as a middle name (for her green card) that way even an immigration officer can see she is married and have consistent mane usage.  She has a AZ DL (Traveler License) and a TSA frequent traveler ID.  Hope that helps as the wife is still traveling on a China Passport.  She reenters the USA with her Global Traveler ID and her Green Card.  She has flown domestically and internationally, cruised with no issues.

  2. It will be interesting to see what real life experiences of other members are concerning this.  As you know their is no dual citizenship allowed in China.  I think China would benefit from a cultural change in this area, but China has always been the center of the universe nationally.  My wife is concerned with this problem and has continued with the green card for that reason.

  3. My wife and I don't really know, I am sure it will cause extra hurdles.  We did a K1 and wished we should have gotten married and a spouse visa.  There is not much difference on the front side but you avoid ROC mess, more paperwork etc. on the back side.  A conversation with a reputable attorney might help, Another member Pushbark had been around for a while and might reply. Good Luck.

  4. If you were over the approved income limit you should be OK, you can always get a temporary economic sponsor and also supply your current pay stub and information. Maybe someone else has a more definitive answer. Congratulations on finishing school, my personal opinion is that if you are currently making good money you should be ok, with a letter from your employer i.e. HR. Good Luck.

  5. I read the prior comments. This is just a personal observation. Because I am paranoid and in the (LE) business, even with the EAD/AP card, we did not travel out of the country till she got her green card. After all this work and effort I would not trust any one on the government side to follow the rules for reentry. Good Luck with what ever you decide to do.
