It all depends on what she is involved on. I left my work one month before coming here so I would have time to mail clothes, my personal stuff, in other words, prepare myself to live here.

Card received

Good morning everyone, 

just got another update today saying that the card is being produced. Case closed, done and over with.  All in all, one month between submitting it online to this update today.

Hello everyone, 

just wanted to give you all an update and say that I had biometrics done today. Easy and quick. In and out in 5 minutes. 

Got a sticker on the back of the card with a 1 year extension.

Now just have to wait for the card to arrive at my place.

got another question: since my card expires on 7/19, and I can renew within 6 months of the expiration date, would you consider the first good day to send 01/19 or 01/20?

I still can't believe I was doing all that for nothing. LOL

I just don't feel it is the right time for me yet for many reasons. I am just not ready. I will. Probably between now and the next 10 years ;)

Other than having an American passport and being able to vote after becoming a citizen, I wouldn't be doing anything different than what I already do. I care about and love this country, I am very well adjusted to the culture and everything else, but not the time yet.

Also since you've been a resident for 10+ years would you consider citizenship? That can also be filed online

Hi everyone, yes, it is my 10 year GC, not my 2 year. I am just speechless that it is this easy. I have over 350 pages in documentation that I was reviewing, plus pics, affidavits, exc., and now I find out I didn't need any of that. My oh my...

Expires on 7/19. I won't be sending it till the 19th of this month but trying to figure out all that I need to send now. Seriously, I have been freaking out about all the copies that I would have to make and trying to get this done by the 19th. I feel so dumb now, because I have been reading that only a copy of the GC is needed along

with the fee and form, but I couldn't believe it is that easy.😒

Thank you for your reply. If this is real, I am about to cry because I have been gathering tons of documentation to send with my application. 😭

Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I came here to VJ.

I am about to apply for my 10 GC renew and I am so confused. 

Do they request supporting documentation (pics, lease, bills, exc.) to be sent or not? I have been reading conflicting information, so I am really not sure.

Also is there a specific place to be sending this through mail? I only see the form online but if supporting documentation is needed, where to send it to?

I have been searching all over and I find a lot of info on 2 year GC  but very little about the 10 year one.
