My wasn't approved yet. It was another member who also filed for her dominican spouse and she was just letting me know the good news. Her NOA1 date was Oct 6th. Mine is Oct 13th. Anyway, I paid $355 I believe for the I-130, but I know the price went up recently. As far as the approvals I gave up trying to figure out how that works. Yes, I definitely hope we all get approved soon. I think the only reason I'm taking this day by day without going crazy is because I still have a bunch of things to prepare before his arrival...and he's also setting money aside every month to bring with him...so we are both hating the wait but also using it to our advantage. That's pretty much the most we can do for now.

My husband is always asking me questions about this process and I always explain all of the steps, going into detail. For the most part he understands and doesn't complain. We both sort of stopped fantazing about being together in 6 months once we realized how slow this can be and are trying to get through this as calmly as possible.

My VJ timeline doesn't even give an approximation because there haven't been "enough recent approvals to accurately approximate" a date. All I do is toture myself by logging in the USCIS website and constantly checking my case status and checking if I've got any "touches".

Tell me about it! Like many have said, the wait wouldn't be as bad if they at least gave us an update every once in a while but these people expect us to wait patiently with no news at all for five months. That's the most ridiculous thing ever.

Cool. When is your NOA-1? I just hit the three month mark today exactly.

Hey, that's good to hear. I hope you get your SIF soon!!! I'm waiting for any news on my case as patiently as I can...today it's exactly three months since VSC received my case. I know you had to wait almost the full five months and obviously survived so I know I can too. Keep us posted when you get your SIF.
