I just got my NVC case number from the NVC operator. Can I email the DS-3032 yet before receiving email from NVC? Anyone can answer my question, thanks a lot.
If you have case number, yes you can.
-
I am beginning NVC processing at this time. I have seen many timelines here on visa journey with the "sign in failed" during their NVC process. What exactly is it?
This is one of those times when failed is actually a good thing.
When NVC completes your case, they will forward it to the appropiate embassy/consulate for interview. That is why you can no longer log in.
If you need to print receipt, make sure you do it as soon as it's mark paid and email yourself a copy.

The consulate is not a fun place for children.. IMO its much like if one were going to the hospital and the child were just being brought along to be there... IMO there is no need to have her endure it with you as they already likely have a pink waiting for you as long as the paperwork was all submitted correctly... I would not take my child there to sit and add anymore stress to the already stressful situation unless there was no other alternative... The already know about her in her file and can see photos of the family so why bring her?
You're probably right, no need to subject her to Saigon traffic. Hope you're also right about the pink part.

is she CRBA?
Yes, she's a USC.

My wife's inteview is tomorrow. We've prepared everything and is ready to go.
Should we bring our daughter along or leave her at home?

My lawyer sent everything and this is so frustrating it seems like everything is going wrong.
Two months is too long. I would contact NVC directly at this address NVCINQUIRY@state.gov
Make sure you include petitioner and beneficiary's name, DOB, and case number with your inquiry or they will not answer.
I would also request a mail confirmation receipt from your lawyer.

We have all heard "a picture says a thousand words"... a photo could replace a great deal of detail in a long timeline.. keep in mind the large number of cases the CO will go through in the single day and the slim likelyhood that they will even thumb past page two... we want to have a great timeline but it is theorized by many that the decision is already made abd the documents are just a formality...
I wonder what the CO would think about a pop-up book style timeline..
Maybe the decision to approve are made before the actual interview, but not the decision to deny.
Consular officers cannot deny an application that has already been approved by USCIS.
They can only recommend it be deny by USCIS if they find evidence of fraud not considered by USCIS at the time they approve the application.
This can only happen after the interview.

My fiance mailed the 129F form in February, and this morning we were all happy to find that our case status had just been updated on the uscis website... but it turns out the petition was denied We have no idea how they could have taken that decision and we're currently waiting to get the actual letter saying why. They never asked us for additional information, never have been in contact with us for those few months and it's really sad to know it was denied without even asking for more info from us
While we're waiting to know why we'd really love to have some tips on what we can do next. I really hope thta getting married and asking for K-1 will do the trick but that takes some time.
If you've had any experience with 129F denial we would very much appreciate hearing your story, and if so how did you manage to get around it.
Thanks a lot,
Julien & Leia
You can't file form I-129F if you're married. You need to file form I-130

i sent the 1-864 around march 31, 2011 and the ds230 around april 12 2011 i payed both fees and i still have not heard anything i've called the 603 number and the oprator said they have not received anything i called my lawyer and he said everything was sent off that i have 2 be patient but i feel like im getting really stressed i jus had my son on april 5 2011 and i have a 3 year old daughter on top of that i was going to college but i failed 3 out of 4 classes and i had NEVER failed before im very upset and dissapointed i'm barely going to start working again and my husband is having a hard time getting a job in mexico because he has tattoos and noone wil hire him so im struggling to send him money so he can survive this is very very hard on me and i really need my husband home so this nightmare will be over. sorry i jus needed to let that out i dont have anyone to talk to. So my question is how long after all that is sent off does it take to get a response?? Thanks in advance..
Did you sent or did your lawyer sent?
You should get a response from NVC about three weeks from the day the I-864 was sent if they received it. If they have not, the problem might be with your lawyer.

Hello, would my W-2s from 1998 to 2009 be sufficient proof of the 10 year residency?
I read a number of threads here where HCMC consulate requested this.

Hello VJ members, I petition my fiance April 4, 2011 and received a notice in the mail 2 days later. Shes 3 months pregnant now, So this December I will be going back to Vietnam for my childs birth. The person I have helping me file my petition said to just add the child into the K-1 petition.
I was hoping someone who went though this process can shed some light on this situation for me. What extra papers did you have to file? Where did you get you blood test done? and what will happen when she goes to her interview when shes pregnant? What will I be expecting to pay for her and my childs visa? Thanks for the help VJ
There's nothing you can do until your child is born. After your petition is forwarded to the consulate, you can notify the them that your fiancee is pregnant with your child. Since you are not married, Vietnamese government will only issue birth certificate with mother's name. You would most likely be require to submit DNA test to prove biological relationship after visa interview.
If you are a U.S. citizen, go to the U.S. consulate's website American Citizen Service section and make an interview appointment for a consular report of birth abroad. Make sure you read all the requirements. If approve for CRBA, your child will be a U.S. citizen and will be allow to enter the U.S.
Right now, all you can really do is start gathering all the require documents and wait until your baby is born.

I think I have a fairly strong case. We should be approve if it's any other consulate besides HCMC. These guys don't seem to go by any kind of rules. Even cases with plenty of evidence are refused for some unknown reason.
-
Are you all ready with the affidavit of support?
Some more evidence that you are living together as a married couple in VN would be very good evidence. Perhaps a couple of affidavits as well from people that know you two.
I already submitted I-864 and supporting documents to the NVC. Does it need to be submitted again?
-
I suggest doing some reading in the Vietnam regional forum to learn what is expected at the interview. Just going in and showing baby pictures and a marriage license will not be sufficient.
Here's what we have for the interview.
o Photos (2007 - 2011)
o Travel Itineraries (Visit Vietnam 7 times.)
o Money Transfers (2007 - 2009)
o Correspondence
o Wedding Invitation
o Registration of Stay (2007 - 2011)
o Marriage Certificate
o Daughter’s Birth Certificate
o Daughter’s CRBA
o Daughter’s U.S. Passport
I've been living with my wife and daughter since Dec. 2009. The only evidence we have of this are the Registrations of Stay that I am require to file with local police and the Visa Extensions stamps on my Passport every three months. Also, everyone in the neighborhood sees me here everyday for the past year and a half.
I am a U.S. citizen staying in Vietnam temporarily and she is a Vietnamese citizen so we do not have anything joint such as checking, saving, life insurance, ownership of home, land, etc...
Is this enough? What else can I give them?

My wife is having her IV interview next month in HCMC. We're legally married with a child. But, I hear that makes no difference at this consulate. Anybody has any advice? What to do, what not to do. What to submit, what not to submit, etc...
Thanks.

If her income was zero then she was not legally required to file. A letter explaining this is all that's needed.
Is this grounds for denial if petitioner's income is zero even if there's a joint sponsor that meets the Poverty Guideline?

Both USCIS and NVC said they cannot update my address because my petition has already been forwarded to consulate.
How am I suppose to update my address so USCIS can send me the return petition?
-
My K-1 petition is being return to USCIS. I have moved since filing and need to update my address so I can receive the return petition. I also have an I-130 pending at USCIS with my current address. Would they automatically know my current address for the K-1 or do I still need to update?
Anyone knows how to go about doing this?
Thanks
-
I think everyone that has file a petition feels the same way.
What's even worse is, after all this waiting only to get deny at consulate.
-
A child is not a guarantee at HCMC consulate.
-
Is frontloading a petition a good idea? This is all that I included in my petition.
•Copy of U.S. passport for petitioner.
•Copy of Naturalization Certificate for petitioner.
•Copy of Vietnamese passport for beneficiary.
•Copy of U.S. passport for daughter.
•Copy of CRBA for daughter.
•Copy of daughter’s birth certificate. (English translated)
•Copy of marriage certificate. (English translated)
•Form G-325A for petitioner.
•Form G-325A for beneficiary.
•2 Passport photographs.
•Registration of Temporary Stays in Vietnam
Registration of Temporary Stays is a document that I have to fill our every 3 months at local police dept. notifying them where I am living during my temporary visits.
Is this enought or should I have included more, such as photographs and more evidence of relationship.
Some VJ members advise to include everything except the kitchen table and others say quality is better than quantity so I'm a little baffled.

Are you saying that USCIS sent the copy of our marriage certificate that we sent them all the way back to the country that issued it for verification?
i need help about the form 221g
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures

I understand you're upset, but I don't think being lock up in jail is a good way to get what you want.
