I would actually say that I don't think we see enough of this kind of photo in the media. The reports on deaths are so clinical, just numbers with no connection to the PEOPLE that are the soldiers.

My husband's military, too and they couldn't care less about his leave papers or military ID - they wanted to see his birth cert and driver's license. THey actually wouldn't even look at the military ID. THis was at a land crossing.

I wonder how they decide where to send between the two.

As a sidenote, I haven't seen anyone from SC transferred to CSC then subsequently approved without an interview.

Not necessarily. You will be transferred to your local district office. California Service Center (as far as I know) is being forwarded some cases from district offices that are backlogged.

Give it another mnth or so, you need to wait 90 days from NOA1 for an interim EAD. I know it seems like an eternity though!!!

There are two offices in SC - Charleston, which I can tell you is processing applications received feb. 2005. And Greer, SC - which is doing a bit better and processing from June 2005.
