My wife's journey is almost done. Interview was on August 16 and she passed. Then we waited until today. USCIS was updated that the Oath Ceremony was scheduled. She will have her Oath Ceremony on Monday September 9. Joy of joys! We did the N-400 online, got her permanent green card end of January. It was long journey but it is finally done. Thank you guys for everyone support and help. Hang in there for those who still waiting.

This was the document they sent us when we inquired about it.Nowhere in the document will you see a 6 months requirement just "residency". But I guess the six months thing is a " hidden" rule which you can argue. But please contact them first because they keep on changing their "rules".

    Hello everyone.
Has anyone had this problems with your fiancee getting her CENOMAR(certificate of No Marriage) in the Philippines. My fiancee was denied for a Cenomar. Here is my story(or at least what I know so far): Back in 2005 she thought she was getting married to this guy so he set it up with a lawyer and couple of witnesses. This guy was already married but told my fiancee that his wife had died. So she thought she got married to him, legal and free. But later she found out that he was still living with his wife and kids and so she check with marriage records and found no certificate of marriage to this guy so she figured it was fake. So after three months in 2005 she left him and didn't need to file annulment. Now today she went to get the Cenomar and found out certificate of marriage was dated November 30, 2010. How could this happen? Did anyone run into this problem? What did you do? What can I do? I planning to get a lawyer, but is there anything else I can do? I feel very hopeless and powerless.
