  1. The date on the first GC is the date you became a LPR. That date will not change. Not having seen a 10 year GC after the 2 year, I can speculate that the expiration date will be 10 years after the date the 2 year GC expires. Others who have actually done this can either confirm this or correct me.

    Thanks

  2. you will need to remove conditions 90 days before the 2 year GC expires with the form i751. you will have to prove once more that you have a bona fide marriage.

and how long it take to citizenship process? after 10 year green card received? My wife is USC

actually the question is what is the issue date on new GC? my 3 years start after 10 years GC received?

  3. i am approved :)

yasie i can drop my passport today"? today is Monday ,,,, and when u r going to drop ur passport?

We are pleased to inform you that your immigration case is ready for issuance.

You or another trusted person may bring your passports to the Embassy in Abu Dhabi any Sunday or Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., excluding holidays. In most cases, the visa will be ready for pick-up in 4 to 7 days. Embassy staff will provide further details when you drop off your passport(s). The administrative processing on your file has been completed. However, a visa number may not be available for your file within this month.

Can you share your visa experience?

Why did they put you into AP? What reason was given?

i already updated on embassy review and they are checking name.

our appointment was 9Am but we went early at 8am and they let us in.

After security we went to the 1st counter one lady gave back all original Documents and any additional they had on file and told me to go another window for finger prints. After scanning we went to the next window there is one lady start questioning

She only asked me many questions:

    What is your wife's name?

    How did you meet?

    Where will you live?

    Where does your co-sponsor work?

    what is his job position?

how long u have been married?

    where did you get married?

when did you move to dubai?

she have already our wedding pictures.

    Then she asked my wife:

what do you do in the US?

after stating that I moved to Dubai she asked When?

She asked if she hadn't worked since last year, she said no i work in dubai

    What do you do?

who will support you when you get to the US?

when did you move to Dubai?

The interview went very well she said your all documents are fine,But we have to do additional process and she put me in Black-whole AP.

  5. Finally after a long wait of 4 months 11 days, the administrative processing on my case completed on Oct 11.

I got notification from the embassy to drop off my passport for visa issuance. I dropped it off on Oct 16 and collected it today.

As it was DCF in our case, the entire process was very fast. We had our first interview on March 22 & I received the visa on Oct 23 so exactly 7 months in total. The only thing that tested our patience was AP. Believe me guys if your case is in AP as well for a long time, all you need to show is patience, keep yourself busy in work, sports etc and some day your wait would be over.

A big thank you to all VJ members. Indeed, I got a lot of help from this wonderful forum.

my interview went well in 8 dec 2011 , i got AP , she told me check ur case status everyday in this link http://www.abudhabiivo.net/ after that drop ur passport.

  6. Assalamu Alaikum,

I will appreciate if anyone can help me find answers to some of my questions. I live in Texas, USA and following is the detail of my case:

    - Got married in April 2011 in Lahore

    - Came back to Texas and filed I 130 for my wife in March

    - Got a letter from USCIS on Nov 8, 2011 stating that my application has been approved and is being forwarded to NVC

    - The letter said that "The NVC will contact the person for whom you are petitioning (beneficiary) concerning furhter immigrant visa processing steps."

    My questions are:

    1. What is going to happen next?

    2. Do we have to fill in some new forms or something?

    3. What kind of information will be required for the next steps?

I am asking these questions so that i can prepare the necessary paperwork in advance, preventing any further delays. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    NVC - 603-334-0700 (press 1

then 5 to speak with an operator , call that number and ask ur NVC case number , and give them contact detail via email or post , they will send you email or post for required documents for ur 3 tax returns etc.
