Amen. God willing, he has done it already, because someone normally when the case sent back with strong evidence they don't ask too many questions. Is that true?

Hi everyone hope all of you are doing great. Is there any updates for reaffirmed cases. I'm still waiting for the notice from nvc for our reaffirmed.tomorrow would be 4 weeks,so I'm a little bit worried 😩. Any information will be appreciated thanks.
trustG, be patient it will come to pass. Reaffirmed cases are the most frustrating, they go very very slow but it will happen. we all passed thru this period of waiting....God will make it happen soon. Call NVC to find out, keep calling

Hello VJ members, my wife went for her CR1 reaffirmed 2nd interview today Monday 06/05/ 2017, everything went OK except that the CO gave her a checklist to bring a Joint Sponsor I-864 next week Tuesday, but kept our Marriage Certificate, Birth Cert. Police report, Medicals ,some proofs and the 2 passport pictures.
They also asking for Form D-260, which I submitted and it says COMPLETED on their site. Is that possible? I tried to resend it but it won't let me, so what should I do before her next appointment on Tuesday? Help Please, we are close to finishing. And is the JOINT SPONSOR Form the same I-864?

Thanks. Yes, I couldn't believe it but today I sent an email inquiring about my husband's case and the embassy responded almost immediately. I was shocked. I got used to waiting a month for a response from them. I hope this means better things are going on there. So they told my husband he can come in on Wednesday and pick up his packet. At least it's some progress.
lutz , that is a good news to hear. A great progress, we hope for the best for all reaffirmed cases at this hot Embassy

It was CR1. Yes is crazy. This embassy want you frustrate anybody at all cost. They made an excuse at his reaffirmed interview that his documents he submitted are much so they need time to go through it and after they were they done they called him and interviewed him for the third time. But hey different stories for different folks. That might it him and it wount apply to anyone.
Hahahahaha....So 6 months to review documents? Hey it's like you said every case is different and time changes, so let us wait and see how ours goes. The Almighty God will make it easy for us. We are close to the end of this stressful journey.

bravagreen, what type of visa was it?....Is the new 6 month AP applies to those of us who have been in AP for 13 months before getting reaffirmed?
6 months in AP after a reaffirmed interview in Ghana? That is crazy......

Yes, all good evidence. You can add wills, living wills, power of attorney, receipts from your trips to her and charges on your cc if any.
Everything and anything that puts you both in the same place at the same time as often as you were able to.
I am positive for your approval this time around.Ebu. Thanks ,and let's see what happens. Thank you

Nobody knows what they will ask !!!!
That depends entirely on your circumstances as each couple has different and unique circumstances.Likely they may ask questions that led to your previous refusal and return and what you returned with the NOID/NOIR
request.
We do not know your detailed life's story and can't tell you what will be asked.
Have updated financial evidence, taxes etc. and ongoing relationship proof and hopefully visits while you waited
for reaffirmation. Be on the premises for the interview and have your spouse tell them you are waiting outside.Ebunoluwa, I equipped my wife with a lot of proofs of our bona fide marriage, like warranty deed (For our house we bought here in the US), Life Insurance with her as beneficiary, letters from friends both here and Ghana, Bank statement, etc....Photos of us together at occasions , phone chats, money gram receipts, Itinerary and boarding pass for my trips to Ghana since denial in 2015. What do you think? The only thing is that, I can't back to be with her at the interview, I just came back some few months ago. I hope she pass this time. Please your prayer

For all I know, they will want to see evidence of ongoing relationship.
efofie , Evidence of ongoing relationship like what? Can you give us some clue?.....This is our second interview in a country like Ghana.

When was your case denied? Did you have to send evidence to the USCIS before your case was reaffirmed?
Yes efofie, the case was denied in November 2015, sent back to USCIS for evocation, but I have to rebut it by submitting more stronger evidences to get the reopened and reaffirmed again, then sent back to Ghana for 2nd interview. So what should I expect in terms of questions and documents....

Was your petition reaffirmed? When my husbands was reaffirmed they just wanted him to bring for documents of continued relationship, updated passport size pics, and valid passport. They sent him an email telling him what to bring. Good luck
DeeCSC YES, Our case is a reaffirmed CR1, Anyway we are prepared with so many documents of continued relationship. But I don't what exactly the consular will concentrate on......Our Embassy is in Ghana. Unpredictable Embassy.

I'm confused about the most important documents that will be needed during the CR1 reaffirmed interview

My senator has not been any help at all other than checking on the status. Just found our yesterday we were reaffirmed - awaiting "official" word in the form of the letter though.
dmh59, Congrats, this is a good news, Let us see more positive results like this. And trustG was right, you need to put presure on the Congressman's Office to get things forward, I did the same thing with my Senator's office.

Yes, they sent everything. I had my interview a few months ago and I could see a 2-inch thick stack of documents through the windows, which included everything we sent to USCIS and then NVC.
illidanx Yes that is what I thought, because we are having a CR1 reaffirmed case I was thinking if the USCIS/NVC/ Embassy treat this kind of cases differently. Because it is second interview

All supporting documentation/evidence should have been duplicated or copied, with you keeping your originals (marriage license and birth certificates etc.) and bringing them to the interview. They have been known to ask you for evidence they already have in there possession and expect YOU to have on hand.
Thank you LHenry for your response to my inquiry, Although my case is reaffirmed case waiting for interview in few days, that is why I'm asking to see if the CR1 reaffirmed cases are treated differently when it comes to the documents to support our relationship. We hope for the best

That's a good question Nyala. I was wondering about the same thing. Let's hope someone has the answer. Best of luck on your upcoming interview. I am hoping the best for you and your spouse. My husband still has not heard anything from the embassy, though his status is AP. Last time it was touched was a month ago.
Yes lutz, I'm still waiting for that all-important answer before the day. About your case too we are praying for your husband to be contacted ASAP. It will be OK, it's a matter of time.

Please VJ members, I just want to know: Does USCIS or NVC returns the CR1 supporting documents back to the Embassy before interviews? Or the beneficiary has to resubmit them to the CO at the interview?
-
lutz what is going on ? Hope everything is moving well. It has been a long time.

Yes trustG, we did the same thing when my wife was going to the interview she took all the documents I already submitted to the USCIS for the appeal, but it was all returned to her ,So you better take it to them than be sorry, because this Embassy is scary and unpredictable....
