My flight will be on 19th this month... i just wanted to make sure that ill not miss any docs that might be asked to show as i go through the travel..i have already my visa packet, passport & visa, 2 govt id's and my plane ticket all set..... any docs here i missed to pack i must bring with me?

I got approved already for my K1 VISA... now i am planning to take that CFO Class here in Cebu... im wondering what exactly are those requirements necessary to bring with me when going there?....

i have read some article to bring originals like NBI< CENOMAR> NSO BIRTH CERT andt etc... BUT, originals of these are given to the embassy right? and i have my the packet of the VISA now with that YELLOW ENVELOPE THATS REAL SENSITIVE... im sure the orignal docs are inside and i must not attempt to open the envelope...

GUYS, PLEASE share... what should i bring? will they accept copies only?

Your K1 process took about a year???

Nope, it took less than a year...got NOA2 on the 6th month from the date we applied to USCIS...only 10 months for us...good luck to your journey!

Hello guys!.. just wanted to share my experience here during my K1 interview last 19th of January thinking this will be of help also for those who are on their way with the same type of VISA...K1.

OK, my fiance was with me during this day, my appointment time was 630 AM .. so have to get to the embassy an hour before the time, was 530am and already lot of applicants were there (thought were too early hahaha)..so we fall in line, just have to make sure which line you fall for there are like 2 lines for non immigrants, immigrants and for seafarers visa...Guys, there are security guards who can assist you just in case you're not sure of what your doing, they're approachable so, no worries..just like we did hehe

When the time came for the applicants to get inside the embassy, there is that staff who will be asking your copy of interview appointment,copies of DS-156,DS-156K and DS-157(make 2 copies of these forms),and your passport and youll be asked also bout your medical record from St Lukes if youre given in CD copy or envelope...then you may get inside the embassy for the X-RAY.. HERE, everything youre bringing will be checked and when was our turn...the cards that I brought as one of our evidence were seen... ITS THE MUSICAL cards..WE DIDNT KNOW. GUYS. IF YOU HAVE MUSICAL CARDS PLEASE DO NO BRING THE CARD, I SUGGEST JUST THE ENVELOPE WITH ITS STAMPS...they didnt let it in so my fiance had to go out to leave the musical cards.. thanks much to my ever supportive fiance..

So, after the x-ray, can proceed to the next line to get our PRIORITY NUMBER..THE ONE AND ONLY NUMBER that they will give you and have to watch on the QUEUING BOARD TO BLINK with corresponding WINDOW NUMBER (signifies your TURN).The teller will ask you some docs and ask you also to DROP YOUR NUMBER TO WINDOW #39...now after dropping time for the WAITING... PLEASE ALWAYS WATCH FOR YOU NUMBER TO BLINK ON THE QUEUING BOARD so not to miss it for the next window for there are so many applicants, we shouldnt forget,,,

After #39 wait for your next window # that will be for FINGER SCANNING.. then after, wait again for the next window number for the FILIPINO interviewer, which will just ask you the original CENOMAR, NSO LIVE BIRTH CERT, NBI and will ask some of your evidences( just to see).. Then wait again for another window number for the EMBASSY CONSUL interview. gotta be good CONFIDENT, SMILING AND HONEST here guys... Mine interview was so simple and smooth as my fiance was with me and got APPROVED!..

You will know from the consul if youre approved or what.. if approve theyll ask you again to wait for the final window # and this will be about how youre goin to get your VISA be delivered....then you may go home...

*ALWAYS LISTEN TO EVERY WINDOW IS TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO AFTER THEIRS* ....

I was hoping someone who went through the K1 interveiw successfully could show me a picture of what all their information looked like before presented to the embassy. I am not sure on the best way to package all this and am hoping to get a better idea. Thanks

Will have soon my interview for k1 visa next month...im starting to get nervous now and i think thats normal..

For those who had their interview already specially those got approved... can you please share here the possible questions during the interview so to lessen the nervous im feeling and also for those who will read this ..)

I read somewhere that the petionier was not allowed in the interview. So the person making the decision was not even aware that he was in the building. I would like that person that I traveled 1/2 way across the world to be there and to answer any extra questions they may have

Las Vegas??? Just go in the area around Maryland and Charleston there must be 6 or 8 pinay restauants and all sorts of filipino businesses. That is little Manila in Nevada

I have read both good and bad about the fiancee attending the interview. What are your feelings towards that???

I have made over the poverty level this year and am taking that tax form for this year (2011) I am self employed so no payroll stubs. My CPA has agreed to do mine 1st so I can take it with me to interview in January.ll haathi

who actually looks at all these papers??? Ive always wondered at the embassy if there are CPAs looking over all the finaincial documents or just seeing if on the bottom line you made enought money

hi, just want to thank you for having this posted here.. SUCH big help for me.. and i know for others also..YOU DID A VERY GOOD JOB!...

After several tries online I finally called the embassy for our appointment. It took about 20 min to get it done by phone. They found some problems with the data on their end that was keeping me from scheduling and it was easy to fix once they saw it.

They were very nice and helpful. Once it is set up they emailed the letter with the bar code.

And as well, now the online system works just fine.

We are now to that step of setting an appointment date for K1 interview at the Manila Embassy...i have tried a site that some members here posted but it doesnt work.. maybe you guys out there have not shared yet how you did set an appointment online would like share?...please help....

I just had my medical exam done last MOnday and got the result yesterday.. thats good ness that I passed!... NOw, Fiancee and I wanted to get a schedule for interview at the Embassy in Manila...

Our ride from Airport to the embassy was about 250p. My fiancee just got back from her medical and and they charged her 560p from airport to the embassy. So let the buyer beware!!!! By the way, we stayed at the Casa Bocobo just 1 block from St Lukes. New, nice and simple for $40 per night.

Read the notice carefully. It could be that by adding the "/" you are generating an error code. Try "NA" or None.

tried also filling it with NA/ N/A and NONE still didnt work... got no other choice that to fall inline and manually fill that form...

N/A means not applicable, if they ask you if you have relatives in US just put NONE, if the question is not applicable to you then put N/A :-) reading the question and thinking of the difference between NONE and N/A will make it easy for you to fill up forms or answer questions...

TRIED TO PUT "NONE" in that field but still cant proceed to REGISTER..

But if we want to pre register and have no relatives in USA what should we put in that field in order to pre register????? Thank you

Im having trouble here now how to get registered online on this site of SLEC... i have nothing to fill into that part asking RELATIVE IN US... i read the instruction that if theres nothig to put then just type N/A so i did.. but got bothered now when i kept answering same way NA to that part still always wanted me to fill that part...

WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? i will have my medical on Monday there... still havent preregistered online...

How about for self employed??? I have been told it is the net. It will be just for the 2 of us on a K1 so I am hoping you are correct on this, but i have been told many times for me it is after business deductions. Thanks

I just got my xray today for the company that im working with as that compulsory...and fiance and I are planning to go for that medical check up at St Lukes in two weeks from now...

Ive heard that one should only have 2 xrays a year? and must be taken after 6 months if ever needing... got me thinkin now, IS THIS TRUE?

I know St Lukes will have that xray also..will i need to get that again even if its only w2 eeks after i got this xray for the company im working with??

Ours took 171 days os you are still fairly early in the process. Ours came out of Texas.
