I thought the case number was stamped on the back of the check ???

Wow, all this time I had no clue!! There are bunch of numbers stamped behind my check, not sure which one is the case number, any idea?

The case number is not set by the check number. USCIS has their own system that generates the case number.

Hi,

My husband's interview is scheduled for next month and I am trying to assemble his documents. So far I have:

Copy of documents sent for N-400

USC original certified birth certificate

USC passport (just in case)

My husband's birth certificate w/english translation

Marriage certificate w/english translation

My husband's passport

Recent joint bank statements

Recent power bill (with both our names on it)

Recent cell phone bill (with both of names on it)

Tax transcripts for 3 yrs (showing us as filing joint)

Is there anything else I should include like pictures or something to that nature? Does my husband need to take additional passport pictures to his interview even though they weren't requested on the interview letter? What is the proper attire to wear for the interview? I called USCIS and I was told what you would wear for church on Sunday well I live in Alabama and you can wear suspenders to church as long as you come to church. Also I want to know where I can purchase one of those US flags as a gift for my husband for when he becomes a US citizen.

Come 30 minutes early, because you still have a lot of people with the same interview date and time like yours. Put the interview notice in the box by the door.

Some officer you may find them strict and scary but you will be okay.. Just relax.

I did my interview and oath at the same day in Dallas at Mckinney Office.

One of the requirement says you have to reside in state or district for 3 months, does this mean she can't visit out side of state for 3 months? or just that she has to prove residency in state for 3 months?

I am filing for my wife's citizenship on based on Marriage.

Question is, is it true that she has to be in the country for past 3 months before filing? She just came back from India two weeks ago, can she file now or does she have to wait for 3 months?

I am not sure what happened. This was a letter that my friend got for his wife's interview.

I think i understand what they are saying, but want to make sure. Please add your thoughts.

Based on the interviews and documents submitted, we have returned petition I-129, to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for review and possible revocation. if an officer develops information at the interview that was not available to the adjudicating immigration officer at the time of petition approval, the petition may be returned to the USCIS for re-examination. accordingly, consular officer have returned the petition and additional supporting to the Kentucky Consular Center.

You may address further inquiries on the disposition of this petition to the USCIS National Customer Service at 1 - 800 - 375 - 5283.

any idea on Dallas?

Can someone please post how long it is currently taking after filing to become a citizen? The citizenship is for a spouse of a U.S. Citizen who has been in the states for 3 years.

I know I can always check the USCIS website, but as we all know, that's never accurate.
