She should NOT leave for the wedding!
If you read everyone's post, NOT ONE single person recommends her to leave. We can analyze every word and sentence to 10,000% and twist it to the way we want to interpret it. Bottom line is that the risk is not worth the benefit.

Indythorpe please don't take anything personally... there are many reason why certain things happen. For everyone on this forum to speculate, you are going to get many different answer as to why you needed and RFE. However, the majority of the people in this forum have a lot of knowledge in this field.
They themselves have gone through it and had people gone through it so they would know what the IO is looking for. To be honest with you, like many people stated, NOT having your husband ON the lease is NOT a big deal. Having someone on a lease DOES NOT signify its a bonafide marriage.
Your earlier comment about everyone being separated for the interview is very unlikely, unless they suspected all those couples they interviewed. These stokes interviews are only conducted after high suspicion. Trust me... it takes them MORE time to interview you separately than together.
Personally, I understand that people want small weddings, but pictures with family members included in the photos would help. I can add just about anyone to my lease, gym membership etc. What do you THINK people with sham marriages do ? The hardest thing to get from sham marriages is for all the family to get together to take a happy picture.

I don't think you really need our advice. I am pretty sure you know what to do already. Most of the people here would want to be politically correct and tell you to "do it the right way" and that "this forum is not to harbor people who intentionally want to break the law" etc. However, You clearly express your intention and desire to stay and adjust status. I would just go ahead with the process and risk it since the alternative is not an option for you.
BTW... what type of Visa did you come in on? or no visa at all ?

Well, I guess I am not the only one then. I wonder why this process takes so long in NYC. You would expect having more population = having more workers.
I will wait till April and if I don't hear anything, I guess I will have to contact the congress person involved.
BTW... what do you type when you write them a letter and such? Does it matter if the person is a republican or democrat? or it has nothing to even do with that?
Luckily, my wife is not working and don't plan to be working anytime soon... we just need the GC because we have to travel out of the country (to Canada) in August.
