Has anyone has an AOS interview recently in TX?? We had been waiting on the approved EAD after the biometrics and received a notice of interview for May 15? What is mind boggling is that we have hardly anything they say to bring, because he can't get a SS card.

Any suggestions on what to do??

I speak with mine, 2+ times a month. Funny thing mines wants me to call on my own as well, but I haven't at this point, because I'm very busy and I'm home when we are calling. Most of the time I stay on the phone longer than my husband and he is just enjoying that I'm talking with his family. Sometimes repeating myself several times . What is a naming ceremony?

It is similar to American "blessing of the child" at the church, except they do it at home and celebrate.

But let me tell you, before we arrived at the ceremony, we were at a new friend's place and I was about to go crazy!!! The children were standing on the table, the oldest couldn't talk and was still in a pamper. Now let me say there was no obvious disability that I could tell (so I don't won't to sound unreasonable). Discipline????.......what age is more common to start it?

We have been trying to add our # to the site as well, especially since his BIO appt. on March 3rd and it still won't go. I know there were post about this in other forums, but geezzzzzz when can we do it???

Also for checking your status online you use the same MSC number that was on top of your original NOA.

I guess if the system would accept our MSC#, we could find out something. But I guess we are not alone in that area. Others from what I have read has not been able to check their status online either.

Okay if we went to the appointment on March 2nd, how long should we wait for the EAD approval??

This process is just not clear to me any more. I thought if we got through the waiting and waiting, then the rest would be a little more smoother.

Can anyone give any advice/help?? Also, we have not been able to check case status online. Question regarding checking status??? What number do you use?? Do you continue to use the original petition number or do you use the new receipt number to check???

I would encourage you to search the board on both the K-1 and K-3. It seems that even both are a struggle, K-1 is faster and less stressful (at times).

Well we will going for Biometrics on March 2nd. We are awaiting some credentials and reference letters, so he can better ready for work.

But the funniest thing.......I went to the SSA office waited up to 3 hours for them to call my number for them to tell me that I couldn't change my name on my social security card until I had one ID in the old name and one ID in the new name. And I'm

Well to make the story worst I go to the Driver's license office and they tell me that I need the SS card in new name. So by this time (after waiting 1 hour and 47 mins), I'm really . I explain to the guy what the SSA told me and said they are more powerful than you guys....lol So I was able to get the name change on the license.

Well I received a letter in the mail today stating that there is a pending alarm on my DL because the SSA says the name does not match what they have Well I have to take in a SS card with new name. Will somebody tell the federal and state government that it is called communication. This is why we were in trouble with the KAtrina and Rita issues.....

I hope they don't pull me over and start nonsense, because my patience is really thin in this process. I'm still trying to mentally prepare for the drive and waiting at INS.

Anybody else have problems getting name changed?

There is one in my area. At first my Sweetee was wanted to get adjusted. Now he is feening (SP??), so we will be connecting soon. I think it is good for them to network with others of their culture. Even though I take him by friends shop (Nigerian Stylist) let him say hello on a regular basis. He's greatest absence is the food, because I don't know how to cook it. But we have a restaurant we frequent but not enough, we need leftovers.....

We recently filed our AOS and was told not to submit without the medical exam. One day we will all have the same information.

I see this board is a mess right now. Hadn't checked in a few days and thought what the heck. But anyway, life goes on. I hope all are doing well and those who still waiting for their love ones, will end the distance soon. My hubby and I are doing wonderful. We finally got all of the AOS, done. With my demanding job, it took us a while to get everything together.

I got a question for who are waiting on the EAD, is your spouse getting restless. I keep trying to re-assure him, we won't go hungry or in the dark, but my goodness. It's a battle. But I know its all about a man taking care of his family, but just chill won't he......
