willygp got a reaction from Roger & Grace in Packet 3 from Hong Kong Embassy
I couldn't figured out how to put this in the Hong Kong page, so I figured I would start here. So I the I129 is approved, we been approved and assigned a case number at NVC. I check the status of the Visa Application on CEAC.STATE.GOV, and it only says ready. Can someone tell me what the heck is supposed to happen next? I know she is awaiting on Packet 3, which we haven't received as of yet. The Application was approved back on the 18th of March. So 10 days ago. Just hoping to get some answers and maybe some insight. Thanks

Okay so Packet 3 is in route, was mailed out on the 29th of March. From what been told with Hong Kong, to ensure you get the police checks done ASAP, because they take time to get to the consulate. Seem that they move very fast with Packet 3 and Packet 4, and before you know it you have an interview, but your Medical and Police Checks haven't come back yet So you still have to wait. So we shall see what happens with us. Thank You for everyone input.

    Hurrah.
    Good to know those timescales.
I can only really speak for the UK process.
We get send something from our embassy saying it's been received and we need to complete medical, etc.
The NVC do also send a letter, but from what I've read it typically arrives much later than the letter from the embassy.
No idea if you will experience similar, or if your process at embassy is different, might be an idea to look at your regional sub forum?
Also; I just realised, that was exactly 14 working days for you to receive your case number.

I know what you're feeling. I am trying to stay calm too. I try to just focus on daily things that I need to do. I tell myself that I won't look at timelines today, but I just can't help myself. I want to see the approvals and track the passing of them to see when we should receive ours. Reading the forums have been very helpful for me. I'm a grateful that this website exist.

Also, just noticed my timeline keeps sliding later and later 6th-10th, now 7th-11th

That's because people don't update their timelines unfortunately.

Yes, Tricked. VJ's estimated NOA2 date was February 26. Not bad though. Like my fiancé says, "Yay for leap year."
The only notification they sent to us regarding the case status update was through text message... Nothing through e-mail, though we had turned on both e-mail and text.

Oh sorry, I missed the text part in your original message.
Thinking back, we did only get a text as well for the NOA1.
I did sign up for email notifications on their website though, so maybe... hopefully... who knows...

If you're using the USCIS app, you will get a notification when there's a change in your status. At least that's how I found out they had updated the error I called in for. I got an alert from the app, and USCIS sent me 8 duplicate emails about correcting the error later that day. I have texting turned on but I don't count on it since I have a Polish phone number.

i wish they would hurry up my timeline date is past due and I know I am going to get an RFE because I forgot to send in a waiver request letter with my petition... so this is going to delay me at least another 3 weeks so I want my NOA2 soon because right now current interview times in Cuba are in JULY!!!
Seems like no matter what processing center I get It still takes about 9 months for me. you would think they would hurry with my petition since it's identical to the 1st one but I guess they need more time because they are looking at the old petition and can't approve this one as fast.
Patients I guess I can't complain since it's only been 2 months since I filed this one and the last one took 7 months for the NOA2.

I didn't receive any text message from USCIS with my Philippines phone number, it was my fiancé's phone number they texted. Perhaps they only text US phone numbers.

Yeah that's what I assumed before signing up. Both my fiance and I are in poland now so instead of having them text my dad I just gave mine in case they need it.

Lots of petitions near mine were approved yesterday, monday, thurs and fri.. But nothing yet. I see some people from NOA1 13th getting their NOA2 here so I'm hopeful, especially since lots near me are approved on the app (even the one before mine) hoping something will arrive soon.

We're the same, my estimated dates got pushed back to 7-11th, but it does have a lot to do with people updating their timelines here.
Let's stay positive and hope for some good news next week

Hey everyone. We're happy to share with you the good news that arrived on leap day. We received a text notification from the USCIS at around 10:00PM saying our case has been updated. So we logged onto our account on the USCIS website and found the best news so far. "My Case was Approved" -Yay!! ^.^ NOA1 date was January 13, 2016.
We're going to start preparing the paperworks for the next step. My fiancé is going to send the duplicate copy of our 1st packet to me soon. Just a few steps closer to our happy ever after.☺
    -Love

touches are usually for NVC or I130 cases-
For Fiance VISA's with USCIS it doesn't show touches. You get your NOA1 and that date is available for you to see then you get your NOA2. If your file is missing something you will see a RFE - something along the lines of
" we have sent you a letter explaining what is missing from the file and what you will need to do to proceed with the petition"
Other than that USCIS is just to watch for the initial approval and when they mail it off to NVC.
BELOW is basically all you will see from USCIS.
    So for example

Case Was Sent To The Department of StateOn August 24, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number SRCXXXXXXX, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
Then below that it shows the status of your cases
    Case History
    08/18/2015
We approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E).
    02/09/2015
We received your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E).

Has anyone who filed in January gotten their NOA2 yet?
I filed on Jan 19th and received NOA1 on Jan 25th.
My case is at the CSC center.
Just wondering how far along other people have gotten
    Good luck to everyone!

That's the same for me. They are approving either side of my petition but are still about 20 petitions away from mine. I quite obviously got a slow stack too since a lot of cases just after mine are approved so I am at the bottom it seems. I hope this week is our week

Still waiting on our NOA2. A few cases directly before and after have been approved, so hopefully we didn't end up in a slower stack. Oh well!
