Hey everyone! Another July Filer!! I received my NOA1 on July 6 and I've been waiting since then!! I began another thread for prayer and warm thoughts for reuniting with our loved ones!!
Anyhow hoping and praying for the best!! I pray we'll all hear some good news by the end of this week and early next week!!
I dont think we are going to hear July approvals for at least another month
-
I am an American just beginning the process to bring my Venezuelan fiance over to the US. The fact that your case was approved so fast gives me hope. I have been told it will take well over 6 months for her to obtain her visa. Seeing your post gives us hope and I wish you the best. Do you have any suggestions for me or anything that can be done to speed up the process? Best of luck to you both!
Good luck with your process, you will see from most posters here that they are waiting at least 3 months and over so ther eis no guarentee if anybodies visa going fast at all. Be prepare for the worst as there is alot of waiting around invovled.
The only thing you can do to speed things up is be patient and make sure everything is correct and signed and dated and hope you dont get any RFE's!
Good Luck

I kow 2 months down.....I wander if it the waiting gets any easier, as i think i may be coming to the point of giving up hope of anytime soon and resided myself to thinking im never going to get the damn thing!

This is all just goes to show that we are all going through the same thing, all the same #######. We must just try to think positive and hoep that it comes through soon. I am working on averages, based on the timelines here. They are only on June filers, so we still ahve some time to wait.
This is such a horrible thing to go through, never thought id feel this crappy!!

Hi Lucy NY. I'm in the same boat as you, but even worse, I mailed I-129F on June 18, 2010 and it was delivered to VSC on June 21, 2010 and it just sat there till July 20, 2010 (NOA1 Date) and had a touch on July 27, 2010. Nothing since. Gee wish they would get rolling as I am sure you are also
I guess I am acutally a July filer also since that is my NOA1 date. I have been looking for K-1 July 2010 VSC forum but have not been able to find one here at VJ. If you see one please let me know.
I know my NOA1 took ages to come through too- dont know what thats about - but mine was dated from July 17th and thouched on the 23rd ( probs when they took the money) and now nothing!! I would also quite like to be touched!
There is a July thread too in the same section as this - July 2010 VSC i think its called
No body that I can see dated July has been passed yet, my thinking is they are still on May/June filers
Very annoying

I hope all of us who have our NOA1 from June (mine is June 2nd) receive an approval and the NOA2 SOON!!! I wrote some things and have no idea anymore what is right and what is wrong.. I've read things on this site and another that confuse me to no end.. Know that all of you are in my prayers! My Senator contacted USCIS (California) and maybe that put my papers on the bottom of the pile - Who knows with immigration anymore! I'm anxious for all of us, but it does help (a little) to know that I'm not alone in the wait.. Everyone have a great weekend!
Me toooooooo

July and August were possibly the slowest months ever for me......and i really hope September doesnt turn out the same way
-
I know, it's just that a little encouragement would be nice. I'd at least like to know someone has looked at it since early July.
Ditto - touched in July a day or so after NAO1 and now nothing...........
I feel like I could scream.........
-
I wish we were being processed in Vermont.
I honestly wouldn't worry about it too much - nothing is a sure thing in this stupid process!! VSC or CSC
-
What consulate will you be going to interview at?
Its nice to hear someone that has been approved!! What date was your NOA1? A big congratulations!
-
I would say if in the pack you have the pages of your passport stamps in there somewhere then dont copy them again
-
I am a July filer @ VSC and still nothing
Come on Vermont - just stamp the damn things and let us to with our fiances!!!
-
Another July filer @ VSC -
Bring on the NOA2 vermont! U have lots of people waiting anxiuosly.
It is such a good feeling to have a forum like this where you can talk to othes in the exact same boat and vent together.
Really hope NOA2 comes through by end of September.....pretty please with a cherry on top

I only detailed about how me met on vacation and the year we met. I actually cant remember if I put all the other times we had flown too see each other - I assume they will look at the supporting eveidence you put in the petition so just be precise but short. Do not offer any more information than necessary!
-
All sounds good to me, any passport stamps or flight tickets you could add in to prove you met each other in the last 2 years? Not just photos?
Dont waste your money on dividing it all up and making it look pretty as they dis-assemble it anyway so its not worth your time. Just make sure everything is labelled clearly and once you think your have it all there and you have checked it time and time again.............you are 100% positive its all there and in order........i would check it again
Make sure everything is dated and signed
Good luck on the visa process and dont forget to add in alot of patience and persaverence with your submission as you will need it along the way
-
We have pretty much the same timeline - would be good to keep an eye on each others as you never know
I think I may dance around the room when it finally comes through....seems like it will never show up......
-
I hear that......another day and nothing, I have a sneaky suspision, its going to be another month yet at least......please god, give me the patience I need not to kill someone....or fly to Vermont Service Centre and sit there until they process it
Im at VSC, mines been almost 8 weeks now
I am trying to wein myself off from the USCIS website
God i didnt think this would be the worst but, I thought the waiting for the interview would be but it seems that once the NOA2 comes through at least there is an end in site - really hope it doesnt take 5 months
-
-
I would say that the average waiting time for NOA1 - NOA2 without any RFE's is 5 months, id say you are still well within time frame from 28 days.
Much of it will depend on what the RFE was for? Did you leave something out or make a mistake on the form? Or was it simply they needed more proof of relationship? Id say that they ahve received your RFE back and its gone back into the processing cycle - so you are well within the time frame.
Its sucks and the waiting game is so frustrating but at least you know they have looked it, saw they needed something else, its been fixed and now should be going through process cycle!!
-
Yes the NOA1 is the notice of receipt. The NOA2 waiting time is approx 5 months from the date fo your NOA1. Some people get thier NOA2 quickly, others go beyond the 5 months. There is no way of controlling it, no way of knowing when yours will be passed through.
Its now just a long waiting game
-
How exciting for you, i can not wait for that day
-
You need to set up an account and then link your petiton number to your account and then it comes up with 'last updated'
-
If you marry her, you will still have to apply for the K3 visa if she wants to move to the states in which she will have to interviewed again anyway and they will flag up her K1 process I would imagine.
I think your best bet, even as hard as it is ( and very crappy) that you wait to see what USCIS say after they have finished, then make a decision.
Best of luck and hope we hear some good news soon

I deal with the waiting a couple of ways. I've been going to the gym 4-6 times a week lately. Its the only way I know how to cope with the stress and the sadness that comes from missing my fiance. Exercise is natures own anti-depressant! It helps me feel better during the day and I sleep better at night. Plus I'm going to look awesome in my wedding dress!
I hang out with my friends a lot, and try to do a lot of the things I know that my fiance won't want to do with me when he gets here like go shopping or to chick flicks with my girlfriends. Sometimes its really hard though because they all have local boyfriends and oftentimes I'm the odd one out
Like someone else mentioned, I also check USCIS daily. Not because I'm obsessing over it, but sometimes its really reassuring to log in and see that it's really there. It's sitting there in black and white with a real number. I can't really explain it, but its reassuring and comforting to me.
Other than that I try to talk to my fiance on the phone as often as possible, we usually manage to talk almost every day at least for a few minutes just to say hello and I love you. But I think we all know that none of this really makes it any better. It might mask the pain for a bit but really well just need to get this over with and be with the ones we love ASAP!
I totally get you with the friends thing, alot of my friends are starting to settle, either engaged, organising thier wedding, moving in togther or having kids and I feel sometimes that I am the only one on this planet that has to deal with all this ####### just because my fiance lives in the states. Apart from them asking constantly 'any news on the visa' they generally know to stop talking to me about it now as they just get a barrage of comments thrown at them about how annoying it all is
The gym is defo a good release of frustration ( and an incentive for that wedding dress lol) but not getting much time at the moment as working all hours god sends. I gues swhen pay day arrives it makes it worth while and I keep thinking save save save and save some more as it will be needed when you finally get there!!
I am trying to fade away slightly from the USCIS site as its starting to drive me nuts seeing the same 'initial review' and no touches!
Lets hope we all here some good news soon xx
Dealing with the waiting game
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

I am so glad that I started this post and that we all have somewhere to vent/ let it all out. As discussed before, friends and family, although supportive just dont understand the process and dont understand the feelings you go through when you are apart. The seperation anxiety is only felt by those going through it. No body else can even start to imagine what its all like. On top of this you have the planning of the wedding and the idea of moving countries ( or having your loved one move to you).
I am certain that at some point we will all get there but I ahd no idea how hard this was going to be. There is an end in sight which softens the blow but on a day to day basis, sometimes it can all get a little too much. I am so glad I found this forum and so glad that we all get to talk through it to people that are going through the same process and having the same feelings. It definatly helps in one way or another.
I too, am struggling with dealing with most of this and all the planning. My OH text me yesterday to say - call me I have good news - i got soooooo excited ( had to wait until the end of work!!) then called him and was so disappointed when he said hes managed to change his phone plan - im like ####### - why is that good news! The feeling of such dis-appointment was too much and had a little bit of a break down
I knew in some way it wuldnt be the NOA2 but I still got all excited. I then threw a total stress at him
I am the one dealing with most of the visa process even though he is the petitioner and he is so laid back that if i didnt deal with it, id never get there!!
I really hope, that some good news starts to come through soon and that we can be with our loved ones
