I just recently called NVC..and the operator said that.. its our AOS..we have incomplete info..they need my husband 2009 IRS tax..but actually its included in our AOS that weve sent to themhows that??? Why is that happen??? And they dont know when they goin to send the checklist letter because they are still reviewing our ds230 and our NBI what do I need to ask them?? Do I need to speak to their supervisor???

i sent my AOS first, then after a week i sent my DS230, after 3 days i sent my NBI again....what u think????? are they finished to review everything?

Perhaps false is a misnomer. Mine happened and was reported on the AVR but no response from me was required and no checklist sent. Remember to make the call to NVC as they will be able to tell you. Don't rely on hope...

yeah...i will definitely call them tomorrow...just keep myself positive for now...cant even wait for monday...lolz...

Indigo- What does the message say when you call the NVC?

lady- I got an RFE as well. So I will be calling on Monday as well. I'm not worried though because I was expecting an RFE. It could also because I sent my AOS first and they are waiting for the IV package (which is in their mail room).

yes, you will have to wait till tomorrow and then call and speak to an operator. Have your paperwork in front of you, so that if you know you sent something, then ask to speak to a supervisor. the supervisor will explain in detail. It was shortly after I got off the phone with the supervisor that I received 2 emails from the previous day, and then that night I received another 2 emails from the discussion with the supervisor. Both emails explain exactly what is missing or incorrect and was complete with a checklist response cover sheet. So if you do in fact have a ledgit RFE or checklist as it is called with NVC, then send in the requested documents with the coversheet and your all set. The worse part from what I hear is waiting for them to be entered into the system. And DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! Keep checking the AVR and the log in page, just in case they pull another fast one....

NVC MAKES MISTAKES.

was approaching week 3 of NVC, decided to log on and check for sif, no sif, ah what the heck, I called, and the AVR said missing documents. Called back and spoke to an operator. Operator said Civil Brazilian Certificate needed. Asking myself what is this? they only need a federal police certificate and seguranca do publica (state police) certificate. So I emailed the embassy. they responded very early the next morning with: "we suggest you call back NVC and have them clarify what they want, we only require the federal and state police certificates". So this time when I called I said that I had emailed the embassy and they specifically told me to call you back because they don't know what the *&$% your talking about! Was immediately transfered to a supervisor who explained to me that the state police certificate was not in the correct format, and that they needed the correct certificate to complete the process. this was back on the 1st of October. so I called my wife immediately and told her to get a new one and mail it to me asap. She mailed it on Oct 5, ( to this day, I still do not have the certificate from her). I stopped paying attention to NVC, no calls to AVR, no log in's to the website, (why should I do this if they need a document?) Then on October 14 received and email that case was completed on the 5th or 6th, can't remember now and that your interview date was set for NOV 8th. HMMMM, how could this be? The wife did NOT mail the document to them, and there is no way that they would have received it that quickly even if she did mail it to them. Word of advice, even if you have been given a checklist and you believe you sent in all the correct documents, still pay attention to NVC.

i called NVC yesterday and it was only AVR...the message is...'' THE NVC REVIEWED YOUR PACKET FORMS AND FOUND DOCUMENTS ARE MISSING/INCOMPLETE the CHECKLIST FOR WAS SENT ON NOV 5...'''

i hope it was only a false RFE...

Mine said the same thing. It was faults but still identified. Just call on Monday and speak to someone cause all we can do now is guess. I may not slow you down as much as you think. Keep Smilin...

Since you haven't followed and read the guide properly, I wouldn't give the easy shortcut for NVC RFE response created by Chris Parker here, which will make you more complicated!

It seems you haven't included the photocopy of your original birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate etc.

Sorry to hear that lady_bug. I am going to get a RFE as well because I didnt send the passport office PCC. So just gotta wait it out. Dont worry and just call on Monday to talk to them.

lady-The DS230 part 1 was signed, right? There could be some discrepancy on the actual forms themselves. All of your certificates are in English too, correct?

yes part 1 of ds230 was signed and all my docs are english...i called them lately AVR said they found missing documents...omg this is another cause of delay...

Wow i called NVC today too and they told me about an RFE . I just hope its something simple but could I find out with a human operator what the RFE was on monday?. I just want this phase of the procces to be over with
