  1. Whoa...I read this on your list:

*NOTARIZED affidavit from the applicant's united states citizen spouse. describing his or her wishes to pursue this application and detail the current status of the relationship, affidavit must include a current copy og the spouse state issued identification or driver's license.with notarized signature in the copy.

Geez, we just mailed ours off and I have never seen this requirement on the I-485...is it a new requirement for K visa applicants? I'm a K3 and our daughter is a K4.

We've just submitted ours as well, well sent it off today actually, and we didn't see any instruction anywhere about the I-864 needing to be notarized !? Also when we sent in the cover letter for our application, I actually wrote it as the applicant, however only included a list of items, rather than any description of why my husband 'wishes to pursue this application'...hmmm strange...

Hope the 'rules' haven't been changed again.... we wish you the best, keep us posted .

  2. My husband and I just sent in our AOS file today. He is my sole sponsor, and we're good in terms of finances and poverty line requirements.

    we sent in the following:

    - completed I-864

    - Tax returns for last three years (1099,W2 etc)

    - letter from employer

However, I do have a question....

no where did we read that we needed to provide proof of his identification (not on vj or application instructions), so we didn't send any. We assumed his SSN would suffice. He's the American citizen and we're applying for my AOS after a K1....

should we have sent in copies of HIS birth certificate, passport, any other such identifications ?

    thank you in advance

  3. We are so frustrated! we clearly understand the instructions around NOT performing the medical AGAIN, and simply filling out that information in form I-693 (part 1,2 and 5).

However we have been finding it difficult to find a doctor that will accept that this is valid practice...and not INSIST I need a full medical. I've been quoted that I need to pay anywhere between 250-350...and I can't understand why they are not familiar with this process.

One doctor was downright rude saying "you have to understand we're a medical profession we don't fill out immigration forms for your convenience, so good luck to you" and hung up !!?? I'm shocked that these people have no information on this.

had anyone performed the supplemental work with a surgeon here in Miami...is there hope :( ??
