Updated finger print letter sent date, got it from https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do by entering in my application number

I realize in my haste to get that thing out the door - because I've been so busy at work and delaying it ...I think I forgot to sign my N-400 and It's THE perfect package too! Im so angry at myself...and the unnecessary delays I've caused myself now! Has anyone here ever forgot to sign their form or know someone with a similar experienc. what can I expect? an RFE? return of my package? what would be the turn around for this

This forms is used for both 3 and 5 yr applicants so there are several questions which you need to adjust.

Did you also adjust your answers for all the other '5 year' questions...e.g. residence, employment etc ?

Thanks for your responses! I also did a little more googling and read on another site that someone simply crossed out the word 'five' and replaced it with the word 'three' for that question and they had no problems- provided of course the selection was B under Part 2, then USCIS would automatically understand you're applying under 3-year eligibility based on marriage.

So I think that's what we'll do too.

we're preparing all our docs to submit this week. I'm a little confused by part 7 A- how many days did you spend outside US in last 5 years.....well I've only been here since 2010?! and so in 2009 I wasn't living here yet, but if we're applying based on marriage to US spouse, how does that work, I'm a little confused.

Did you count the entire year or more that you weren't living in this country yet? sorry if this is a silly question, it just confused me a little !

Hello Fellow N-400 filers!

We're planning on sending our application end of the month- though we are opting to send it within the 90-day early filing window. Got to US in 2010, however got my first green card dated 04/01/2011. So January to march is my 90-day window. AND considering the long year we had to wait for removal of conditions (just heard of card production yesterday) we're option to just get it out the way already.

Is anyone filing early here? and how will you show your joint taxes for 2013? Can we send in 2011/2012 and other documents (insurance, lease etc).

I did make an infopass and also submit a request through the Ombudsman- and lo and behold FINALLY checked update on USCIS and it says "On January 15, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you

I think it was the Ombudsmen to be honest, because nothing else prior to that worked. Hope that means it's the end of this ordeal-No more interviews, or RFE's...card in production/approved right ? Last time I had my 'card in production' status, I had my green card in hand within a week. Fingers crossed.

Will definitely follow through with N-400 end of the month, since these delays are quite insane.

We're still waiting for my I-751 to be approved and my extension letter expires January 28th (timeline below with delay details). It's getting ridiculous we don't even know what the hold up is. Is anyone else still waiting ??

We've contacted our congressman and his office said they contacted USCIS (this was in early December) and all they said was 'It's assigned to someone who will be looking at it soon"...really? is that all we can get. What next, what other options do we have? I'm starting a new job on February 25th and they're asking me for valid verifications of my permanent residency, but my extension letter expires January 28th. What do I need to do in the interim, if I still don't have my new green card by then?

Can anyone with similar experience please advise us Im really frustrated and it would be so disappointing if I lose this job over something beyond my control.

Wow, Im really sorry to hear that! Haven't you filed for your Naturalization yet though (N-400) ? you should be eligible. We're going to file for sure in January even if we don't hear from USCIS Re I-751.

We've noticed a lot of people hear did that- file their N-400- were approved and still haven't received word about their I-751.

We filed in January 2013 (details in signature) at Vermont center. Recently (October) received an RFE to provide Police Clearances because my biometrics failed twice. We sent them in and they were received 2 weeks ago.

Anyone experience a similar RFE and how long did you wait before receiving your card or an interview? We're really worried about too long delays, we're trying to travel out of country for Christmas and it seems we may have to cancel our travels

what kind of turn-around can we expect after RFE response...does anyone have experience with Police Clearance RFEs? are other january filers still waiting? it's been so stressful waiting and not being able to travel, and looks like we won't have x-mas either

I'm unsure if it's to be obtained from a local police department, I'll call my local PD though to make sure. has anyone else had any such experience with an RFE for police clearance letters, and have local letters been sufficient.

Hi all, it's been a long wait (January) since we submit our 'removing conditions' application, 2 failed biometrics, and when we finally contacted them to see whats happening on September 26th, we finally receive a letter today to submit Police Clearance letters from 'each place you resided from the date you acquired conditional permanent residence status to the date of this request'.

But it doesn't give any details about whether the clearance letters are supposed to come from a city level or state level. We've lived in FL (miami) and now VA (Arlington), but we're confused about which clearances to request for this.

Has anyone had a similar experience with requests for police clearance records, and what did you provide?

We're in a similar situation except we haven't really been waiting that long, but definitely past the 6-month mark. We applied in Jan, got called for biometrics in Feb, then heard nothing till July, and went in for a 2ND Biometrics in beginning August. So it's been about 8 months and we're still in the 'biometrics phase' and initial review.

From your experience do you recommend we take any action at this point so as to push USCIS to handle our case sooner than later? E.g info-pass appointment, or call to ask for info on delays...I'll be traveling in December and hope to have heard from them before then. what's the best course of action to take to encourage them to tackle our file sooner than later?

My case was untouched for 6 months and I called immediately after I reached the 6 months point, and I asked for a Tier 2 Representative ( I did pester them for 3 days, by calling everyday, and telling the initial person that picked up the phone that I was never connected to Tier 2, even though I was, until I got one of the 3 Tier 2s to do something). They sent my file to a local office and I went for a wasteful 5 mins interview with my husband. I got an approval letter right there and I-555 stamp (or something of that nature) on my passport.

So keep calling until someone is able to help. Good luck

How much longer should I wait before contacting them though (what is a Tier 2?) also might be traveling in December and worried about not receiving my card by then. Oh well, might just be a waiting game.

Wondering if many others are still waiting to hear from USCIS about their ROC. We submitted our application on January 21st (timeline in signature below), first biometrics was in February, and then they requested another one on August 8th, which when I went to, it seemed like they had no idea I had been there before. Oh ok I misunderstood initially, but Wow that really was a long while ! Well...Congratulations !!! thanks for sharing your timeline and story it gives me hope that after the 2nd appointment it'll be weeks instead of more months again for an interview/approval.
