I think once you get the NOA2 hardcopy in hand..that should be proof enough to request the Police Cert.
-
5 months..call them up and ask. if you go over 5 months..then you can request they look into it,.service order..and if that doesn't work, contact the local US congressman to look into it for you. They're supposed to give you some sort of decision in a 5 month time frame.
-
ok, no phone calls, just emails huh? great..so fax in or email the expedite documents? at what part of the NVC stage? Like, umm ..say, right when NVC is done and sending our file to Montreal..contact them about expediting it?..or wait for montreal to give me an initial interview date?
-
Dont surrender your GREENCARD!!!

I would just call them tomorrow..no sense in giving yourself an Ulcer. I think depending on your NOA1 date..realistically I think they're gonna finish off everyone's file before Christmas/New Years. Try to maintain that 5 month mark.
Then after that..NVC is gonna be jammed up...you gotta think of that as well. Flood of approvals from 3 service centers now..not just two.
So I think, I mean it makes sense..it all bottlenecks into NVC. Kinda like 3 lanes of highway merging onto a single lane exit ramp to the USA! Ya, that was corny..who cares. Report me for abuse. lol

He doesn't need the police check from the States...they do their own. Don't quote me on this...but I believe they want police certificates for where he's lived over the past year. Nothing past that...if i'm wrong someone correct me, but I do believe it only goes back a year or 6 months.

No interview date yet LOTO?
-
i've already looked into it...but he's got the money...to make the payments..we paid him his retainer fee of $4000...he said if we get the CR1..it'll save us $1500...so he's got the fee's already sitting there..once it's all done, we'll get $1500 back.
-
I'm glad I already got my SSN..from before..maybe I'll get my greencard quicker.
-
he's got our retainer fee, and I assume he's going to do everything electronically and make the payments as he's the agent.

Here I am..Nov 1 NOA2..waiting for NVC to get our file. *lights up a cigarette*

Thanks OBX...I was crossing the border about 2 months ago..and one of the POE officers said, you know once you get your NOA2..you can't come visit until you're done. I just smiled and acted stupid..thanked him for his knowledge. I knew different, and I know different...I only hope that whoever I get next time knows different, lol

That's' right...line jumper...I dont play by the rules, I just figure out how to bend them, lol.
EP is electronic processing..it's supposed to make things go faster...scan your documents in and such..email them, such as you have Richi. Less physical paperwork the better for them I believe.
Thanks for all the congratulations. Yes, as you can tell from the forums..I've been starting to lose it here lately. StepDaughter is going into the hospital this coming Wednesday...we'll just see for how long. And my son keeps telling me on the phone to come back..he's only 3.5 years old.
Hopefully the hard part is over, but at least I know now that I can do another 3 or 4 months standing on my head. Holidays will make things go quickly. God bless to all, speedy approvals and positive energy...

Ok, thanks..so if NVC expedite is approved...then ask NVC to push it through and then contact Montreal and send the expedite request to them as well separately..gotcha. I saw somewhere about requesting an earlier interview date...I have a feeling it's going to be a lot of phone calls and busy signals.
-
thank you Tbone..well I know from Canada EP is available..but I think my attorney has to handle all that, he's got all the money to pay the fee's., lol
-
I think NOA2 approval Nov 1...Tier 2 told my wife it was approved..documents mailed out already. Either that or he meant our request to expedite was approved. I'm guessing NOA2..cuz they would've just told us over the phone if they were going to expedite it.
-
We're using a lawyer...so how does this all change in regards to NVC? make sure he files for EP and all that stuff? I heard that there's no DS 3032 needed if you're using an attorney.?
75 views and I got congratulations from 2 ppl, and I know one more coming..total 3..see how popular I am? lol

I wonder if they'll let me cross the border now...POE officer told me once NOA2 was approved I couldn't come visit...??

Hello everyone..we just received our expedited NOA2 from USCIS...waiting to go to NVC and expedite there as well. I was wondering in regards to Montreal Consulate interview..I've seen one person that expedited the whole way. I want to have everything prepared and ready to go to for expediting through NVC and then at Montreal.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm more interested in finding out how to get the Montreal portion expedited as there is plenty of info for applying for an expedite through the NVC process.

My wife already tried to call that tonight, lol...no case yet..if it is that NOA2 we believe it is.
-
Nov 1 NOA2....got room for me? I dont know anyone in the next group, lol

Just got off the phone with my wife..she said that she was calling about an expedite we filed a month ago, and that we were told to call back today in regards to a decision. The Tier 2 told her that it was approved and that the papers had already been mailed out.
I'm guessing they dont send you documents to tell you that the expedite has been granted.

*shakes his head*..I promised I'm not going to get mad at anyone or anything for the next week. Then I'll be back to my old grumpy self. I feel like I'm in a race..waiting for the gun to go off..meaning AVR at NVC telling me they received our file.
