  1. So, 30 days are over since our SR was made and nothing. We recieved an e-mail from officer Carol this morning after 2 weeks that said " your case is pending service consideration". What the hell is that mean? that they are thinking about working on our case???? hmmm also, my husband called USCIS 2day and the lady said they sent us a letter on Jan. 4, 2010 and we have not recieved anything! On the other hand, at least we have a response from them and our Senator called my husband and said she agreed to help us, lets see if that does anything for us. The USCIS rep also told my hubby that TSC had untill March 4th to approve us or not! Well lets just hope we recieve something before then.

    that's exactly what it means

  2. Sorry Wade I put a word in for you but i cant make them do anything.

'Marines' have to be the best we can in War and in life

Suggestion call the American Red Cross. I cant make Denice do anything.

I can just pray for you, wish i could help my fellow Marine !

Can you or did you ask her about the situation at TSC as to why is it taking that long and how much more wait are we looking for in a worst case scenario?

 Just voted for your question.

I think it would be better if we all vote for xelance's question and not post similar question because i think the question with more votes have a possibility of getting answered.

  5. Yes, no quick fire emails on this end, just Barbara. I took a stab at some other names I knew, but they were returned as wrong email addresses. I also mailed a the ombudsman, and our congressman a few days ago. Our senator has been working well for us also, but I think it was this email, courtesy Ron & Wade that did it.

I DO have to say that our lawyer told us our review was complete on the 19th January, so maybe we were already approved without knowing it - as I suspect some others may be too.

    Fingers crossed for you all.

Congrats    Val and Gary for approval...

Got e-mail today 7.30 am Moscow time:

On January 24, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Still cant believe until see hardcopy.

Total 201 days of waiting. Hang in there, guys, we all will make it soon

    Congrats Timosha

  6. Thought I'd add my 2 cents on this thread. They received the I-130 petition for my wife back in July 6th. In November I was a victim of the infamous California to Texas transfer. I called in December to see if they could expedite things since it was past the 5 month mark but they blew me off because we didnt have a medical excuse. I called again today and entered my receipt number and the recording said that I need to sit on my thumbs for 180 days after the November transfer before I should call back and then it ended the call. I called back again and didnt enter the receipt number so I could talk to someone and this time they acted like they might do something and gave me some service request number and told me to call back in 30 days if I didn't hear anything back from them.

On the USCIS web page it still shows that I'm in the initial review stage. Right now it's 199 days or 6 months and 16 days into this process. At this rate my wife might be in the states sometime in 2016.

Just wondering but did anyone else get 1 of those numbers when they called? Is this 16 char alphanumeric number something that I can track online?

That 16 char alphanumeric number is what you need in case you do not get a response to your service request which most of the time comprise of form letter stating that you need to wait anywhere between 1-12 months (depends on the mood of person replying) before you can contact them again to see what is going on :help: . In case they do not reply within 30 days then you are now eligible  to mail the service center with this number. and at that time they will tell you the same thing unless of course you get a reply from office Garza  .

  7. My hair is now standing on end!!!!!!!

As I was writing the last post a few minutes ago my text alert went off !!!

So I went to my account to check and:

"On January 14, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

I most sincerely hope and pray that this means that approvals are forthcoming for all.

This is a sweet payoff for me as I have been busy emailing and calling Senators, Congress people, newspapers, TV, and other media about our plight for weeks now.

I may never know for sure if all of the prodding actually did anything one way or the other. I would like to believe that others actions have made an impact, I hope that mine did as well.

I must now call my wife!!!

    Rickey.

  congrats 2 u 2 (looking at my cell but no SMS). Any ways did you also write to your senator/congressman? it seems like that is the only thing that is working at TSC. Also it seems like the notifications are coming late (both of u were approved on 14th).

  8. Thank you!! Everyone should email TSC!! It seems like it's the way to go!! Use this email: tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov.

Oh, and this is what the email from USCIS says:

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On January 14, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Things are happening!! But I won't be completely happy until the rest of you are approved! Seriously- we're all in this together.

     Congrats.

I am wondering why did this e-mail took so long to come. u were approved on 14th

  9. so ASAP did work because two days later I received approval. noa2 date of jan.13, 2011:

On January 13, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283
