i mailed/submitted the ds-230 together with the documents required like birth certificate, marriage certificate, 2-passport photos, photocopy of biographical page of my passport, nbi and police clearance

yah darnell... i already did the ds-3032( choice of agent) before coz i was the agent myself.. and already submitted the ds-230 last august 20 at the nvc and the operator says they receive it last sept 3.

In CR1/IR1 process it is the NVC that sets the interview date. You set the medical appointment yourself; the medical exam has to be completed and you must have your interview requirements ready well before your interview date.

Just to clarify, it's the applicant who sets the appointment for the medical and the interview.

When you call for your appointment and give the agent an e-mail address, s/he will send you an e-mail confirming the interview date and time, plus a link to the K1 visa instructions on the US Embassy Manila website.

august 20 - send the ds-230 to nvc through lbc

sept 3 - nvc receives the ds-230

my husband called the nvc and the agent told him that they already receive my ds-230 and wait for another 6-8 weeks... is it really 6-8 weeks waiting? cause i read some of the time and for them it only takes for days or a week?!

Go to their website where your husband paid the ds-230 and if it is showed paid then download the form and filled it up.Don't wait they will mail you the packet.Print the letter that has barcode. To go with your Ds 230 are original Marriage cert.,nbi,4 pcs.passport size,birth cert,and photocopy of your passport.Ifyour married before send the divorce decree or annulment. you have to inlcude the snail mails before your conception proof of relationship specially chatting about your pregnancy, and his certified true copy of his passport including the visa pages proof of his visit here in the philippines enter/exit. chat logs of the both of you before and after conception. your husband birth certificate, remmittances receipts, picture's of you while u were pregnant, and picture's of your baby from firs-present if you have. coz i send it to them all the requirments that i said here. and also the taxes or domicile of your hubby proof that he is a u.s citizen. so u will have no problem at all when the time of interview of your daugther. my husband who is a us citizen, is in the us right now. i already have the packet of the crba of my daughter and some of the requirements and documents needed and i will be the one to go with her during the interview....

my questions are..

1.) my husband just send me a notarized copy of his passport. is it ok that its just a notarized copy or do i really need the original passport?

2.) the notarized copy was just the first page.. (biographic page) but the page that are stamped (exit / entry ) are not notarized.. is it ok? or he really need to notarized it?

3.) in the form ds-5507 partIII. does he have to sign it(in fornt of a lawyer and let it notarized) before sending it back to me or he will just leave it blank and i will be the one who will sign for it during the interview in front of a consul officer adminestering the oath?

This was my experience with the process at the US Embassy in Manila.

I recommend that the US Parent be at the interview. Both my wife and I was present .

Application are accommodated by appointment only. When I was in the PI I did mine as a drop in case with my daughter because of time constraint and got the interview four days later. Can’t say that it will work for everyone.

They talked a lot about DNA and my case was bullet proof so just be prepared.

Don’t forget you have to bring the child with you they want to see him/her.

This is my list of documents that I submitted to the US embassy in Manila for CRBA.

DS-2029 with 2”x 2” full face passport photo. (child)

NSO true copy birth Cert. (child)

Passport application. (child)

Proof of parent US citizenship.

1) US passport.

2) True copy of live birth cert. with original seal of vital records office. A must have!

3)High School transcript ..(Yeah funny, but I’ll tell you more about it later it’s not a joke)

4)True copy of NSO Marriage cert.

5) Proof of physical presence in same location at time of conception. Airline tickets, copy of visa stamps.

6) Proof of mothers pregnancy, ultrasound, pre-natal records, hospital billing statements, and pictures.

Now about the school transcript you as a US citizen have to prove you are a citizen, you have to show that you have been living in the US for 5 years in a row….. They will not take your tax returns as proof, I can tell you why but I don’t want to write a small book about it. When you give them your school transcript they take them with out a word…Had her US passport and CRBA cert. in about 10 days at my wife’s home. PI.

hi! if you wish to register your daughter as a US citizen and get her a US passport, call the US embassy and they will give you the instructions for it. normally, they will divert you to Air 21 and then they will be sending you the documents for your daughter's US passport. If I remember it is about PHP 375 3 way.. Sending the documents to your home, bringin the documents to the US embassy and bringing the approved US passport to your home. Hope this helps.
