I saw the title to this and just had to comment for the first time in ages.. Why post something like that? If you have nothing nice to say why bother? This site is here for support and to allow people to vent their frustrations on the process any way they see fit.. The site covers different personalities and cultures so of course some will cry and some will just get really angry.
Like Ive said before, and this is personal to me, If I hadnt been "crying like I baby" after 6 or even 2 months Id have seriously had to question my relationship.. The fact people get so p***ed after what you deem a very short time is testament to the strength of their relationship not a weakness in themselves..
In saying that I do genuinely hope you and everyone else get approved soon.. It was torture for Rach and I.. We sent off the I29f end of June/early July and I was only approved at the interview yesterday.. and YES I "cried like a baby" so sue me..

Congratulations on your quick approval.. Ill be nothing but happy for anyone who gets approved so quick.. It does again however highlight how f***d up this system is.. All the very best to you both..

If you don't like the guy ignore him but he's clearly in pain so why make matters worse by attacking him..

Fantastic letter.. really well put.. I honestly believe things are gradually getting worse at USCIS and something has to be done.. This pessimistic approach by some claiming it won't change anything is based on what? Can you back that up? If enough people make noise will their voices not eventually be heard?.. good on you all.. keep at em! Only guarantee is that if you stick your head in the sand NOTHIN will happen.. We waited 6 months and 10 days and e-mailing DID work for us.. As for this recurring just be patient advice.. I entirely respect others decision to feel that way. however in my case and im sure in some of yours, if I was able to remain patient over all this time of uncertainty and waiting Id have to wonder how strong my relationship really was.. I needed to be with Rach 6 months and 10 days ago!!

Nonsense.. no one has a problem going through immigration.. its the fact the whole system is broken and needs fixed.. As ive said before if I pay $455 I don't think its unreasonable to expect a response in a timely manner.. When we've called USCIS we have been downright lied to on many occasions.. please don't be patronising about your suggestion to "be my guest and go live there". Im sure you are aware your country is built on "immigrants". This whole thread is getting ridiculous.. For me VJ as a place for support not to start some political debate.. I hope everyone of us gets everything resolved soon..

Am I right in what I am saying though? I initially assumed they were bringing people over from Haiti ie people whose homes had been wrecked, orphans etc. I understand that, but to cater for illegal immigrants who were already finding away to exist in the USA is just a huge body blow.. I remember watching a documentary on Haitian gangs in Miami who live there illegally. Loads of em. SO, in the case of these guys the government is basically saying "here's a visa for you guys so go on dealing your drugs and all the other things you were doing but don't worry about immigration from now on" I honestly can't take it in if thats the case.. Im the first Scotsman lost for words!!

I just had a little look online about this haitan thing thats holding us back. I never said anything on it before as although I had my own opinion I thought it may sound a bit crass if I start bumping my gums about disaster victims getting visas before me. I may be totally misinterpreting this but as far as I can see visas are being given to haitans already living illegally in the US to allow them to work legally and send money back home to their loved ones in need. WOW.. I fully sympathise with said loved ones but the people living illegally in the US are no doubt working illegally in the US and are still sending money home regardless.. Am I wrong about this.. it seems so absurd that Im surely picking it up wrong? can anyone advise me on this?
ALso, I respect everyones decision to go about things in whichever way they see fit but I don't think the advice with regards to "have patience" "concentrate on other things" "get a hobby" is right after 5 months. Fair enough within the 5 but now is the time for all of us to focus on NOTHING BUT getting this N0A2. If we all keep calling and our calls are logged the penny has to drop sometime. Yeah some approaches may not work but the one way I can guarantee will not work is sitting in silence waiting for it to come to you.. seriously, what did you hope to gain from this and subsequent posts? People come on here for support not to be patronised. Some people complain because, although we are happy for those approved, SOme receive approval quicker than others. If everyone was approved 5 months on the button that'd be fair but its not working out that way.. I am going out of my mind right now. My fiance is renting a room in tampa while im stuck in Scotland. Take away the fact I miss her so much it hurts I also hate the fact Im not there to protect her so worry constantly. If any of us sat on our asses and nonchalantly said "oh come on its only 5 months" I think we'd truly have to consider whether our relationship was as strong as we thought. A day without Rachel kills me.
