  1. Hi there,

I know it seems like a long process, but in the end, it's very much well worth it. I was involved with everything not too long ago. And I was a part of people that had there cases moved from the CSC to the TSC and then got lost in the twilight zone. So I know it's a big stress, but it's coming. Believe me, just keep your chin up, stay in love, keep talking and don't lose hope. TSC can take a little bit, but when someone there applies a Cattle Prod... it's like the gates come open and everyone moves really fast. It's been a bit since I posted anything, but I can say that everyone here is along for the ride.. and those of us that have been on that bus know it's an uncomfortable ride. But you'll see the end will come soon, and you'll all be together.

    Keep your chin up!

  2. Hello everyone,

I just got an RFE last week. :bonk:

Its 4 paged RFE for proof of bona fide marital relationship.

Do I have to send everything listed on the RFE or just I what can??

I'm soo nervous because it's a 4 pged RFE & that I might not have enough evidence

    Is this type RFE common?

They said they have received my marriage certificate. However in order to establish the marriage is bona fide, I must submit secondary evidence.

I have not sent in anything yet but here's what I have so far as proof:

    >copy my marriage certificate ( again )

    >my passport/passport stamps(copied all pges in book in color to prove)

    >passport style photos of both of us (again)

    > 6 photos of us together ( wedding, honeymoon,& other randoms)

    >yahoo chats ( from before marriage till now)

    >facebook

    >online Phone call cards log

    >Copies of my spouses school diplomas.

    >copies of money transfer receipts

    Is this enough?

Also are affidavits of marriage relationship required to send?? Or is what I'm sending as evidence enough information to prove our marriage?

As for all the evidence I will be sending will they returned back to me after NOA2 approval or after interview?

Sorry lots of questions but please any info will help! :help:

    Thanks :)

    Bless you all!

Well, I just looked at your list, and it looks like more then enough evidence to me. I only went 1 step further, I also got sworn statements from people that knew us before and after we got married, and they also stated that we were still in a good relationship.

I can only wish you good luck on your journey.. as this is really the only thing that I can suggest.. wish I had more for you.

  3. Hello to you May Filers..

Just wanted to drop thru and tell you all that there are many of us that are still around that have filed and some of us just getting thru. Just to tell you all we know what your going thru. And we're all here for you. Good luck to you all on a very quick journey thru the process.

I just got done with the process.. but it took a long while. And yes, there was a reason for the delay. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask, and we'll all do the best we can to help you out.

    Good Luck to everyone!!

  4. You all just talked me out of using first class anymore, even though I've never had a problem in years..and lots of important AND expensive things...maybe it's because from hayseed town america to hayseed town philippines...cause god knows I am not that lucky........

The last time I had to send documents down to the Philippines, I used USPS Global Express. They got it delivered in 7 days, and I was able to track the package all the way across. It was about $58 for the service, but apparently they run it thru FedEx, and there was no issues about getting it where it needed to be. And the package could be insured with the USPS.. but if it's only paperwork, then what is the point. So that is the best advice that I can give.. and you'll have to ask USPS for the service as a lot of the offices don't even realize they have it.

  5. After reading this entire post, I would like to have back the 5 minutes I spent reading this post.

And I'm going to say to you like everyone else has said....

    MIND YER OWN BUSINESS!!

It doesn't matter if this is "family" or not. Your only going to stress your wife, and cause all SORTS of issues if you continue to worry about something that you have No control over.

You maybe family, but you are a KANO.. and I'm sure that this remote fishing village has been dealing with problems like this for many years before you married into it, and will be dealing with them LONG after you are gone.

Your "FAMILY".. but.. yer still a KANO.

My rant is done.. and I still want back my 5 minutes.. plus the 3 extra it took me to type this..

    :P:o:wacko::blink:

  6. My husband is a US Citizen. He filed it in US na and he's living there since birth.. How long will it take before we receive NOA 2? How long does this kind of petition takes place? Thank yoU!

I'm a a US Citizen, and it can take a bit. The timeline helps you out, and it can be close. I just pulled your Timeline up, and I'm sorry to say that it's showing your date as a little bit of time away. If the data you supplied is correct..

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between October 20, 2012 and November 3, 2012*.

This is only an estimate, and it maybe sooner then this. Keep the faith, and stay strong for the days ahead.

  7. NVC received my case on the 31st of may and i was assigned the case number the same day....i called them yesterday and was told my case is still there and i am wondering why...they told me that it takes 2-4 weeks before they send it out and i'm like really why? if the case number was assigned i dont see why it has to be there so long....i thought the calling game was over but i guess not :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Hi, I know it can seem to be a long wait. But I will say that I know it can take that long. All the NVC is doing is making sure that everything is in order. I know it seems that it's unfair, I was even talking with someone this morning that had been waiting for 20 days... but today within an hour of us talking there case had been completed and a interview had been assigned. Your almost thru the entire process, just hang in there, and watch your Email! That notice can come anytime within 10-15 business days. You can't count the weekends or the holidays of course. But before you know it!!!! BAM!! It's there. Just hold on a little while longer, and when it arrives, it's amazing how quickly those days go by. I promise! I know because it happened to my wife and I, and we moved thru the whole process in what seemed no time at all. She had her interview within 30 days of our notice. And as of this morning, her time, the process was complete, and the VISA will be delivered to her within a week.

Just hold on a little while longer! Good NEWS is right around the corner.

  8. I googled but wasn't able to find a topic that addressed this specific concern. If it's already been covered, please point me in that direction! :)

I am a US citizen submitting form I-130 for my husband. We currently live together outside the US and have a joint lease and joint bank account. However, for the majority of our time together, we lived apart in different countries and usually drove to visit one another (so we don't have plane tickets to use as evidence). I've read some conflicting advice about what should be included in the application package to support our relationship--some say less is more, some say throw everything in so you don't get an RFE. Since Form I-130 doesn't specifically ask how we met and how our relationship progressed, would it be worthwhile to include something that addresses our relationship history? We also have lots of pictures with each other's families and friends and with our cat. If we do end up sending photos, how do we label them?

I can also print out e-mails and Skype call logs if necessary, but documenting a three-year relationship that way seems like it would waste a lot of paper!

    Thanks in advance!

Well, when it came to submitting my relationship, I only included the marriage license, a certified letter from 3 people stating that we had an ongoing relationship. A few pictures of us, together in her country. And the evidence of support, which for us was just Moneygram receipts. That was all that we included, and we were approved in a short time.

We did all that, and never received anything from the USCIS about anymore proof required. So pop in the basic info, and shared bank accounts, and the lease. You shouldn't hear anything from them. I never had to include any of the chat logs or anything else to prove that we had a ongoing relationship.

    Good Luck!

  9. And if you all want to see our journey as friends.. which got out to 221 pages of Posts.. here we are, and I think out of the whole group, I am the last to finally see the end of this journey, and the start of our new one together.

The LONG Journey.. CSC to TSC remembered!

This is everything from then until now, and you might recognize some of those names from back then, still helping everyone today.

  10. I will say that we never used a lawyer at all during our process. Thank goodness, we found our answers here with our friends that are going thru the same thing.

It's a very interesting process, but the less lawyers are involved, the easier it becomes for you all to be together.

    :D

  11. Ok, so for those that are wondering, Yes, I am the USC, and my wife is in the Philippines. We sent our initial I-130 all the way back in July 2010. This was about 4 months after we had married. We worked all the way to the CSC and then like many of our friends here, we were transferred to the TSC and it seems that we were all forgotten. Well, in that process I decided to go back to the Philippines for our birthdays together, during that time we were blessed with our present, which was our daughter. We moved forward as a group, but due to complications with the pregnancy, we had to wait. Our daughter is now 9 months old, and a US Citizen. And with all of the trials that we have been thru, we are happy that our journey is coming to an end. 698 days, seems to be a long wait.. but for most of you it will be a bit shorter. Remember when you weather this storm together, you have a stronger bond in the end.

Remember, life is a journey, as long as you have the one you love by your side there is no end... but if your lucky along with the one you love, you find friends that are on the same journey. And here we have many friends..

  12. Well, when I woke up today to start my wonderful day, I finally received that Email we all want. My wife now has her interview on June 6,2012. The journey is ALMOST over, soon my wife and I will be reunited. 698 days after we submitted the original I-130. Patience is something that I was starting to run low on. But faith has finally paid off.

    :wow::dance::thumbs:

    More when we have it..

    Thomas and Mavil..

    just a little longer now..

  13. Yeah....me and my wife doing the same skype and facebook....what courier service does your wife use to send you the documents?

My wife used DHL to get the documents to me from Phils. I used USPS Global Express to return documents to her. It seems to work exceptionally well to move documents around the world, and it has saved us a lot of money. She has also used the Philippine Postal system to get me documents that are not critical, or needed right away for something in the process. There aren't many ways to move documents from Phils to the US. But DHL and USPS Global Express seem to be the easiest ways to move what you need back and forth.

  14. So your wife sent you the signed DS-3032 by mail? Not e-mail?

Yes, everything we have done that has required paperwork was sent to me by her. This way we could personally go over all the paperwork and insure there were no errors at all in it. We have managed to get the whole process done by ourselves, without any errors. By doing it this way. If you have 2 sets of eyes reading the same paperwork, you can catch small errors before you send it away. We have talked via Skype and FB Messenger each day, so that we know what is going on. It's cheaper this way, and we have had no problems with the entire process. I am not going to say that it's easy, because you have to wait on the paperwork, but if the 2 of you check it, and then if you are the USC and send it, it's almost a 99.9% chance you have caught any of the small errors that we will make on the paperwork.

  15. Congratulations to you and your wife......

Just a quick question for you. Did you or your wife send the DS-3032 to NVC...???

My wife sent me the DS-3032 and I sent it to the NVC. I also sent the DS-230's to the NVC from here. It seemed to make more sense, since the postal system there can take a bit. I also sent her all the documents that she needed via the USPS thru there Global Express service. It was cheaper then using FedEx. There was a $40 difference, and I was able to track the package from when it left here to when it arrived at her door.

The only system that we have used, is that she has sent me all the documents that are required, we both look them over, and then we send them along to the NVC. This way it arrives within 7 days. And we move the process along quicker that way.

  16. Just wanted to update everyone that was a part of the original TSC transfer group, my wife and I are still in the process. We're just thru some of the last paperwork hurdles now. While waiting my wife gave birth to our lovely daughter, which is now almost 8 months old. We had to go thru the other paperwork process for her, and her citizenship. We are waiting for the NVC to green light the DS-230 to Manila, which is our last step. I will say that if I would have known the headaches, the nights without knowing, and the frustration that we have had to face, I would do it all again. Everyone that is still around, thanks for being there for us during the whole process. Hopefully we will be able to report that our interview is done very soon. We're still happy and very much in love with each other, even with the process going. Our daughter is growing up and happy.

And to all of you that are going thru the process still, stay the course. It's only a matter of time before you are all together again. I know that it can seem a very long process of nothing but frustration, and agony because you are apart. But if the 2 of you can weather this, then you have a very strong marriage that can't be beat.

Well, more to you all later, hopefully a Interview date, for my wife.

    Till then, Thanks friends,

    Thomas and Mavil
