  1. I am a us citizen and going to file a i-130 petition for my mother. To bring my mother to live in the United States, i have to give a copy of my birth certificate along with other documents.

    Question?

My Pakistani birth certificate dose not have my mother name on it. old Pakistani birth certificates only have father name on it. In this case what to do?

    Thanks in advance.

Show them other doccuments where your mom's name is there like baptismal, school records, hospital records.

You need affadavit of relationship.two people have to swear and affirm that they know your mother and you are her son. the person have to be same age or older than your mom. if they are your relative, it is better. If you are from karachi, it costs couple hundred rupees. my wife just got one made for her mother. you can e mail me

  2. i was born in pakistan. i m a us citizen. i want to sponser my mom. i don,t have birth certificate, neither my mom. how i can prove . i have read the i-130 instructions. i can submit affadavit. does any one has any sample? please e mail me. i will really appreciate it. thanks in advance

I believe you have to submit a copy of your birth cert, showing your parents name on it. My question is, when you got visa from US embassy Pakistan, you didn’t show them birth cert or they didn’t ask you?

    But you can do following:

If you have school record or B form or Pakistani ID, you can apply your birth cert in Pakistan and they will issue you in new date and will mention late entry.

For your mother: Just Affidavit is not going to work alone, when your case will be at NVC:

You must submit civil authorities latter, mentioning that why birth cert is not available. 2nd: a relative old then her, if alive provide affidavit for ur mom.

Hey question?? Your mother was born in Pakistan or Indian???

Civil authorities letter, you can get, but you need to put some time and efforts.... If your mother born in Pakistan, you can do same steps as I mentioned above for you.

If your mother born in India, then you need to tell them, that you need a letter saying: Her birth cert is not available in this office, because she born in India. No such record available for her.

You need to provide 1st and secondary evidence... to prove.

why shuch docs are not available.

mother was born in india. lives in pakistan father died. pakistani birth certificate has only father's name. even i don't know if my mom and dad have marriage certificate. any help.

  3. Hello Guys!

I have reached USA on Oct 17 with the blessings of God & ur best wishes.

I wanna share my POE experience with u guys.

    My POE was JFK.

At JFK immigration officer asked abt envelope and i gave it to him.Unfortunately envelope was not in good shape as i got it from embassy.he asked did u open it? I said no.then he sent me to counter#2.there were so many ppl who were waiting for the completion of their immigration. There was another officer took my passport and see it and send me another room.Actually my name got hit in their data base,i have a common name. They took approx. 40mins and they cleared me.The whole process took approx 2 hours.

The immigration process at JFK was not up to the mark only few officers were dealing with so many ppl.I did not find it good at JFK.

I got my connecting flight for florida and i reached here safe & sound.

I called social security yesterday and the officer told me over the phone that i will have to come and apply for it.

Wish u very best of the luck guys!

  4. my wife has her interview on july 6th. any suggestions.her english is poor. she is nervous.

I had my interview 2 weeks ago, and it really is just a straightforward interview. You are basically asked questions from the application form. If there are no changes in the application form like travel since the application filing or moving violations and speeding tickets, it's mostly NO and the last part YES of the application form. No need then to explain with more words. As for the history exam, my suggestion is that she study all the interview postings of the VJfilers during the last year, and she will notice that most of the interview questions come from a pool of 20 -30 questions. So I would put particular emphasis on these often repeated questions. As for the English written and reading, it's so simple. Same thing, have her look at all the interview postings. Again the pattern seems to be most around 10 or less of the same test questions, like writing "the President lives in the White House" and reading " Who lives in the White House?" , etc. Good luck to her!

where i can get those 20-30 questions. please let me know. thanks
