    The wife returned today from an extended trip to Colombia to care for her ailing mother. We completed the Biometrics today and within 2 hours card production for her EAD/AP was ordered.

      She left the US before AP was approved?

      Yes she did. We requested and got Emergency Advanced Parole and she stayed with her mother for 4 months. She now has an I-94 with an expiration date of 8/29/2012. Hopefully, we won't need all of that time.

    "Touched" is the word used here on VJ to indicate a change in the status date of your petition. If you requested access to the USCIS website to be able to see what happens to your petition during the process, you can see the last update.     POE!!! Fort Lauderdale, Florida 2/10/11. From what I've learned so far. It was fairly easy and she was out in less than an hour. Now the wait for a connection at 3:30am.

      Good thing I was stubborn about getting a Certificado Migratorio for me. When I went to do mine, I asked about Victoria's, which DAS in Santa Marta said would be waiting for her in Bogota. Nothing was there even though she requested it a couple weeks ago.

    Thanks for your message. I've been very busy these last few weeks as you can well imagine. I am in Bogota now. Our interview is next week Wednesday. Am I still nervous? You bet I am. I have some stuff to do today and Victoria arrives tomorrow. I had better feel a whole lot better when she gets here.
