Maleman got a reaction from mereal in Journey is over
Congratulations!  My wife just finished taking her oath yesterday as well.  You are so right when you state it's a long journey.  While it is not easy, it's worth all the frustration in the end.  I am so very proud of my wife!  She stuck in there and prevailed!  We are so very blessed!

To all of my friends here on VisaJourney:
I’m not normally lost for words, but today after reading your replies, I find myself so humbled that words alone will not be enough to express my appreciation. I have never seen your faces, talked to you on the phone, or been fortunate enough to grace a conversation with any of you over a cup of coffee. However, somehow or another all of you have become a surrogate family to me. While there is a chance that kindness such as this may go unrewarded, it will on the other hand bring blessings to others. May these blessings be the most contagious reaction among those that need faith, hope, and comfort. As I see those that have reached out to others on this site, it reminds me of true compassion, along with a real feeling of patriotism. The “patriotism” I am referring to does not necessarily get energized from being from a specific country or place, it is a kindness given that comes from the inner most place of your soul. It is a gift that no government or institution has molded us to deliver. The basis of this kindness is derived from one source. I’m not certain of what faith or convictions you have, but I do know that you have given a contribution to human life that will never be forgotten or perish. The arches of my faith have been reinforced by my faceless friends that have lifted me up in my time of need. Many thanks of gratitude to all of you.
    May God bless,
    The “Maleman”

Maleman got a reaction from Brother Hesekiel in Cheating the System
I have stated before in prior post, the reason we have problems with the immigration process is due to the fact that we have a problem with immigration in the U.S. Yes, I too get upset with persons attempting to cheat the system by asking obvious questions that allude that they want to bypass the system. However, for the most part it’s most likely not these people that have caused the massive “Red” tape in the USCIS process. According to the “Wikipedia, in 2008 the Center for Immigration Studies” estimated there were about 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. Now having 11 million people undocumented is not the entire crux of the matter. Having them become a public charge for the continuation of their stay, and compound this by adding their children on the public charge roles begins to weigh in on the already swollen welfare rolls. According to the “Federation for American Immigration Reform” organization, “In 2007, immigrant use of welfare programs (32.7 percent) was 69 percent higher than non-immigrants’ use (19.4 percent). Each year, state governments spend an estimated $11 billion to $22 billion to provide welfare to immigrants. Those programs include Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Child Care and Development Fund, reduced meal programs in school and public housing.” I personally doubt that they have all the true monetary figures on the illegal immigrants that are living in the U.S. In summary, it’s probably not the people attempting to get around the current policies that are the bulk of the immigration problem, but those that have been on the “public charge” roles for years. Thus, we are left with the sad realities and paying for the development in more than one avenue.

No doubt there a few “bad apples” in every institution! However, it’s not the people as a whole; the real problem remains within the immigration laws itself! There are loads of inconstant double standards and superfluous “Red Tape” relative to certain types of visas. Additionally, you now have congress attempting to pass the immigration “Dream Bill” when they should be reforming and making more rational adjustments to the current immigration laws for legal American citizens. The main reason we have such horrific problems with legal immigration is because such appalling problems with illegal immigrants!
