10 years in the making...Met each other through relatives over a decade ago.There was a spark, but no words were uttered.Decided to just be friends, because how in the world can a long-distance, international relationship work (pre-internet craze)?Saw him each time I visited Ghana (on average once every two years).Finally in 2008, got the guts to tell him how I felt. (Yes, grown folks get shy too.)He felt the same way.PHONE, E-MAIL, TEXT, SKYPE, SKYPE, SKYPE, SKYPE - on average of 3 hours a day.Friendship turned into courtship, courtship into engagement in 2009.Been in the middle of this immigration process since.
