I feel for ya.. if my application had stayed in California, it would have been approved months ago, and I would know where it is and what is going on now.

Purchase what is cheaper... However be sure to cancel your return portion before the date to avoid any issues caused by mistaken airline departure reporting...

I saw this once before with a friend of mine. If he wants to stay in the U. S. he should call the police, have them retrieve his identification, and make a report on the incident. He then has the firepower to remove the provisions on his green card status and adjust to a battered spouse (Yes, even mental abuse will count if proof is available for the situation.) Most of the time they can work with you, but you need to ask for help.

I'm with Boiler on this, if it were me I'd be long gone. I came here to be with my now wife, no other reason, which is how it's designed to be. If it doesn't work out I'm off.

Wow, what is your problem? I was trying to help you. USCIS have a 5 months waiting time and you can't ask them for a service request before then. 5.5 months now at TSC. So yes, 6 months or more is a delay and you can't talk to anyone at USCIS before then. I also said I know you are at CSC, but you still can't say that 1.5 months is a delay, but perhaps you wanted people to give you sympathy? OK here is the response you probably wanted: oh dear, your situation sucks, something MUST be wrong, you should call USCIS right now and find out what the hell is going on over there cos waiting 1.5 months is just not normal...
Again, I am sorry I wasted my time on you. You have a terrible attitude.

^^Yep!! How sad is our reality eh?!
I don't think a month and a half qualifies as a delay. Waiting 6 months or more is a delay. Yes, I know you are at CSC but still...one and a half months is not a delay!! Just thank your lucky stars you are at CSC!!
Remember that visajourney is just a small sample of the population who have applied for visas, and you can't use the timeline estimate as anything more than a rough guide. It really isn't all that accurate. Also, as you haven't been waiting long enough to ask for a service request, there is literally nothing you can do to find out if there is anything wrong or not with your case. You just have to wait really. No one on these forums will be able to answer your question cos the truth is nobody knows...but there are plenty of people who will be able to support you and listen if you want to let off steam.
The chances are you'll be fine and get your NOA2 any day now. Just remember each case is different and your time is coming a lot sooner than most people. Good luck!!

Wow. Fishandchips was not rude to you in any way & yet your entire post is an assault on him/her.
For what it's worth, I'm also TSC & admittedly butt-hurt. You are fortunate you are at CSC, since you don't like the word luck.
Edit: Additionally, USCIS states processing times are 5 months, so you are not able to place a Service Request until it has been that long.

Though the processing life-cycle is 5mos, that timeframe does not need to be exhausted. There are several reasons we have heard/read from news in the past which caused the extreme backlog. Meanwhile, we wonder what has been done...it seems that the bottleneck just narrowed down to the present processing. I have no idea how one type of Visa-application can have priority than the other types, how CSC service center can process more rapidly than TSC, how DACA program got special attention...etc when we are all citizens, in the process to petition/legalized a loved one.
Imagine, if we were all to 'walk this process physically', as if we were lined up to each of our appropriate service center, do you think we would see equality and fairness while we wait? I asked this because, as a citizen who actively support and give my time helping others and my community, who always worked hard and paid whatever is due (to Uncle Sam)...would really feel disappointed if I see someone with an illegal-status pass me to get their paperwork processed for legalization. It is just a thought and I am still being patient <March 2014 Filer>

Hey...fands...I think that dominican couple ur talking about is me ...lol
BUT...Icontacted my district congressman...which I believe helped hurry it along....my petition was sent to nvc on 5/2....and as of 5/12 I have my case #...but guess what...now I'm in AP at the NVC....imagine that....after I really thought that my file was moving along fairly well....them a**holes...still found a way to slow it down. Drag it on....make my life a little more miserable. ..my nerves a little thinner...it's just ridiculous. ..it's so unfair for any of us who are legitimately in love and wanting to do things the right was the legal way to be put thru so much red tape to the benefit of who? ? But yet they make it so easy for those who have been here illegally for so long to nsturalize while still in the US with just another waiver more no penalty no repercussions...how fair is that...they get a smack on the hand while weeee get a slap in the face....

I really don't understand how CSC can process a petition in 2 weeks & yet for the past month, I've hardly seen any people on VJ report approvals from TSC that were not expedited approvals.

I received that same notice on the USCIS website on September 4th and my NOA2 on October 15th. I called USCIS when the a# change was entered on the website and they stated "it means that they have put your information in the system and are compiling background checks on you and your fiancé... when they have enough information it is sent for approval to an office." I hope this helps!

This is a situation for the authorities.
This is child abuse. It should be reported and investigated.
It's a crime to keep a child captive.
Shame on those of you who say he will be 18 soon and will be an adult and should just move on.
Would any of you allow your child to be treated in such a manner? Kept an illegal visa overstay, not allowed to go to school, etc.
What would you call it if it happened to your child? Would you tell your child to move on?
As a parent, I am aghast at the responses when a child even a 16 years old or 17 years old child is abused - especially by the parent who is there to protect them.
Please report this to the police.
If the authorities finds evidence that he has been abused, he can legally change his status to stay here. At the very least, they will remove him from his current situation.
