I still don't have the BDO slips coz we're kinda delaying the process on our own
Might do medical and the interview by September as we didn't expect everything to be as fast and we were planning to marry by 26Feb next year, my mom's birthday.
And no, the 80 pounds thing was something I've read from previous posts so it became a funny joke with me and my fiancé. I don't think I can carry a whole person's weight on the interview anyways LOL!

Congratulations!!
We really got lucky at getting our NOA2 after only 21 days, thank God. But now we are all in the same boat preparing for more paperworks.
My Fiance and I, decided not to mail the entire I-129F duplicate packet as it will cost him another $100 or more if he sends it to me. So what we did is he scanned important things and I will be printing them out here. Like: NOA1 & 2, his passport & stamps as proof of meeting each other, his naturalization paper as it was part of our package sent to USCIS, and we're still waiting for NVC letter. I was the one who compiled the chatlogs, emails, phone logs and money transfers so it's easy for me to print the documents out. Pictures as proofs can just be printed here and will cost your fiance Php5 per picture.
Helpful links are already pinned on this regional forum, so read read read.
For your fiancee's daughter, from what I know, the biological father/one declared on the birth cert needs to sign some paperworks from Department of Social Welfare & Dev (DSWD) advising his consent to let the mom take the kid with her. You might be able to get more infos at http://www.dswd.gov.ph/

Hi, I posted this as one of the replies from another topic. And I do think this would be helpful for everyone who's trying to save money from all those "stooooopid" Custom Taxes.
See my fiancé loves sending gifts/packages. He sends it through USPS and would arrive here in the Philippines in around 3 weeks.
TIP: If he's sending you any gifts, don't declare the real amount at USPS as Customs at the Philippine Post may tax you even more. So tell him to declare it as a gift with less than $40 value.
You didn't hear this from a Customs Examiner's daughter
A perfect example is sweet angel, spent Php2,000 on taxes because of a phone that was sent to her. Whilst my fiance did the same thing BUT he declared the phone as $15. I also got taxed when I claimed it from PhilPost QC, but I was only charge Php35.
Hope this helps!
-
Sis, i wish i meet u before so i won't pay for less than Php2K for the taxes of the phone my husband sent me before
I might warn him not to declare the real amount.
Maybe I should post a thread about it.
But yeah, J also sent me a phone. A phone he bought here on his vacation but wasn't tri-band so he just decided to send it back for me to use. We declared it as $15!!
And I paid only Php35 for taxes.
And to Tine, I just reread my post and it wasn't clear. Don't scan the ring, scan the ring receipt!! Haha

Thanks for the post JORDANTONI09
See I'm ####### with paperworks too
Your post will help all of us still trying to organize their "80 pounds" of proof. Haha!
The good thing is that I was able to purchase a filing folder at National at Php240 which is helpful for us who's preparing for the interview. Lemme share some pictures.
See to your right -- you can slip the appointment letter in there and there's a pen holder.
Pockets for receipts. Right now it has my Cenomar, NBI clearance & Passport Receipts
And the organizer with labels on top.

Yeah, most of our paperworks are scanned and printed out except the ones where we need real signatures. The only reason I'm even bring the receipt is that we sent a photocopy to USCIS and as I've read Consul Officers HAVE THE RIGHT to ask for the original copy.
TIP: If he's sending you any gifts, don't declare the real amount as Customs at the Philippine Post may tax you even more. So tell him to declare it as a gift with less than $40 value
You didn't hear this from a Customs Examiner's daughter haha
Is the ring still with him? If it is, it's never safe to mail valuables such as rings. A scanned version of the ring is enough in my opinion.
Taga san ka, Tine?

It's the USC's Income that the USEm in Manila needs
They would never ask for your Filipina fiancee's financial documents. Hope this helps, good luck!

Okay, thanks Toni!

We use MSN/Windows Live every single day. So in the end the chatlogs/xml files totaled to 900 pages!
What I did, for USCIS & for the Interview, we cut most conversations out. We only kept the date/time stamps and the part where it says "J accepted video call." So the 900 pages turned into 13 pages only! Whew!
As I've been reading in the forums, invest more on photos and of course the financial paperworks.

If I understood it correctly she doesn't have a passport yet and will be applying for one. If I'm correct then she needs to go through Department of Foreign Affair's (DFA) Regional Offices in Mindanao. Mine took a month before I got it but I do live here in the Manila area.
Here's a good news..
You can actually file a K1/I-129F Petition WITHOUT her passport as it's not a requirement in filing the petition. The checklist is in here. Do it already since there's too many work in gathering evidences and there is an average timeframe of 3 months before getting your NOA2/Approval of Petition.
Now the CFO sticker is ONLY needed when you already have an approved visa (meaning she was approved on the US Embassy interview) and that she's about to leave already. In my opinion since most (if not all) of the Embassies here in the Philippines are located in the Metro Manila area and one of the international airport too, it's more reasonable to put CFO offices here.
Hope that helps

Not really, but I think it's one of the best proof that you have genuine engagement/relationship.. my fiance's mailing me the ring receipt too since we originally sent a copy to USCIS so CO in USEM might ask for the original. Just making sure everything is covered

I just wanted to ask if the shots are included with the original medical fee or if I need to pay for them?

I'm born and raised in Quezon City from an Ilonggo Dad + Negrense Mom.
My Fiancé, on the other hand, was born in Bacolod City but since he was 14 has been living in Orlando, FL.
He's a mix of his Spanish Dad + Negrense Mom. I'm teaching him to speak Tagalog but PROUD to say he's still fluent in Hiligaynon!
Hello VJ!

My opinion... save the money for something else. Like your wedding or AOS perhaps. Like what you said you have a pretty simple case and you trust her that she'll be doing good in the interview. Pray pray pray and good luck

Same here, I'm a photographer so I didn't really want to ruin the pics with the dates stamped on them! So what we did are just to print out descriptions on a white paper and pasted the pics on the side. Here's ours
What will be your best friend will be the highlighter! Highlight those boarding passes, those debit card transactions and annotate them if you're being very ####### like what we are!

Thanks Greenparot, you've always been helpful!
As for you Roy, good luck! We're on the same stage, too. Just waiting for NVC Letter and Packer 3 from USEm in Manila. They just have a lot of fraud cases so that's it's kinda hard on this stage. But as long as all the paperworks are done and complete, I don't think you're gonna have any problem. Again, good luck!
-
My Fiance just called them an hour ago and was on the phone for three mins only.. we got the new case number already. Try it again
Good luck!
-
Depends the stage..
If it's an initial filing at USCIS, no NBI/police clearance needed for the Filipino Fiance.
If at USEmba Manila Stage already, only NBI clearance is needed if you haven't been overseas for more than 6 mos.

Congrats!

Congrats again

Cheaptickets won't allow you to book flights that originates from Manila :
Expedia is good but expensive though
-
and also some seminar she claims to have to attend(which I havent found anywhere)
also any recommendation on where to book flights here?
CFO Counseling Program will take two-hours and costs about Php250
Per Republic Act 8239 and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Order 28-94, Filipinos proceeding abroad as spouses and other partners of foreign nationals are required to attend the CFO's guidance and counseling program as a pre-requisite to the issuance of passports. Here's the link for http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=235&Itemid=34
And for the flights, you could try http://www.cheapoair.com they can suggest connecting flights. Just be sure to leave enough time for POE delays if it's gonna be a connecting one. Good luck

Thanks to all!!
