Problem is I'll be stuck paying for her "life of riley" living on the government dole for 10 years......not very promising for someone taken by a fraudster.
Should I file fraud claims to block her from abusing the system?

I'm ashamed to say but me thinks me been had. I should have known from the get go but love is blind. I met my ex online and we started talking. A year later we went through the 130 process and at the interview she was interrigated by the embassey staff for previously falsifying a tourist visa and it required a 601 waiver to get her here. She was ok till she told me she had gone to New Zealand and was looking for a man to marry so she could stay there on a previous trip.
Then she started getting moody, demanding a separation 2 times for me not being " romantic enough", and she progressively became more demanding. Actually downright cruel towards the end mentally and emotionally. She often times said that we should divorce, me marry her relatives just to come over here. Secondly she said that the niece we were trying to adopt was using me only for immigration benefits. Then she confidently talked with her friends out loud , in English, about how filipinas use Americans just to gain benefits. She also said that we should divorce and live together so she could get public assistance like her friends do. When questioned, she said she was only kidding. I suspect she was feeling me out.
Near the end she would do things that would provoke me to anger. I am in great physical pain and she would demand that we do this and do that, running everywhere and that she was "lost". She's been here 2 years and was wearing me down badly physically and mentally. What should I do?
We're divorcing now and I've refused to sign her i751 on these grounds. She tried baiting me by saying "you want to kill me don't you!" during a phone conversation recently.
Serious advice only, no jokers please!!

http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1 Should be the best option to you two. You just have to work on the evidence harder by the time for embassey interview time. Show the chats, plane tickets, hotel, any money transfers (either way), phone records, and such. Best of luck!!

Dress comfortably but appropriately. Something like an interview for office work would be a nice start.

My apologies to those offended and especially to those who suffered a loss from this accident. Another shining example of our news media here.

It's State specific as CA accepted my wife's Philippine DL but said it wouldn't take an International one....they gave her a year's temporary till she passed and got a CA DL. Be specific when you call the DMV for info and get it in writing if possible as to what she needs...best of luck.....

It's a generalization that all filipinas like to sing, but if she likes to sing, it is a must. It'll help ease the shock of coming to the US by giving her something familiar and you two will have fun, believe it or not.
Best of luck,

Sorry for your experience with the CO, but they really don't care......they just have to check off boxes and go by "hard" facts. I do understand that they don't have to be rude but still it is their jobs on the line if you don't meet the requirements and they give you a pass. Welcome to the US government way of doing things........sorry!
Best of luck,

Vonage, if you have internet, would be a sound bet. After the one month, you can keep the service and switch the plan options once your SO gets here. We still stay oh the Globe plan so we can call home to the Phils any time. We also got our daughter a Pay-as-you- go line there so we can call her for free and she us whenever she wishes to contact us. It's 5.99 mo. With vonage you have the option to call from cell phone here with an "add on" of which the first add on is free. Just a thought.
Best of luck,

Buy in advance and use a travel search engine. My favorite is tripadvisor.com. It gives you all inclusive prices , not just cheap fares to get your attention. Best of luck.

Hi All,
Of all the things we did in preparation for the melding of our two families, my wife's getting a PI drivers license after graduating from driving school was the best money spent of all. Once she arrived in the US, she was by CA law had the freedom to motor around after passing the written test. She earned a 1 year license in which she had to pass the driven skills test to get a CA DL. This gave her much time to get practice on highways at traffic speed and to, in general , gain confidence.
She was a safe driver but now she's a good-safe driver and I can honestly say I wouldn't have a problem dozing (sleeping) while she drove. Also have a good deal in our insurance Co. as many penalized her for not being from the states as a new driver. Allstate doesn't do this to us as my old companies would have. Insuring a "new driver" is quite expensive. Just some words of experience from us. Elsa even said for me to post this bit of information even if you have rapid transit, a car is invaluable.
Best of Luck!!

HI Brad,
I'll chime in.......2 weddings in the Philippines for me......the first civil in August to get our paperwork started and then a formal church wedding in December for completion of the sacrament of marriage. This is a very important thing in my wife's eyes and in mine also so I was very open to the idea but shy about the attention a church wedding brings. It was well worth it in my eyes and gave my soul peace in the decision of marriage. If you are not Catholic, be open to the Church wedding anyway as it is very important to the wife and her family.
Maybe wait a year or two so it can be planned and paid for after the civil in the States. That way it can be a grander, more memorable affair.
