Can someone please help me? I've had my VJ account since 2010, but for the past month, whenever I try to log in, it says I have an incorrect password, so I have to go through the process of requesting a new one, verifying, signing in, etc... but then when I try to change my password to one of my own once I've signed in, it kicks me out and I have to start the process all over again. Is there an administrator who can help me with this?

Keep trying to add myself to the list but no luck... could someone please update with our info?
Date of I-751: 12/4/13
NOA1 Date: 12/9/13
Biometrics: 1/13/14
Thank you, and good luck fellow December filers!

Mailed our package to Vermont service center on Wednesday 12/4, and can see from online tracking it was received yesterday, 12/7. Best of luck to everyone!

We added my husband to my bank account the week we got married in December 2010. How many bank statements should we send in with our ROC evidence to be sufficient but not overdoing it? Three or four from each year, from Dec 2010 to the present? More?

We moved to a new apartment in the same city in April of this year, and filled out the AR-11 online to alert USCIS of the address change. However, we just got mail forwarded from our old address, from USCIS, reminding us to file for ROC. I filled out the AR-11 online again, but is there any other way to confirm they have our current address on file?

We must be the last of the bunch, but got the text and email last night: green card in production! Woo hoo!

So I check our status today on uscis.gov and now it says "On January 4, 2012, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS." January 4! After requesting them to re-send on Dec 13! And going in for InfoPass on Dec 28 and the guy saying it showed it was moved to be adjudicated. WTH?! If this is a re-send of the original RFE supposedly mailed Nov 11 that we never received, we should be receiving it about two weeks before it's due. Great. Still no idea what it's for or if anyone at USCIS is on the same page. Very bad mood about this.
Oh my god, this sounds like a nightmare. I am so sorry you're having to deal with this and hope your RFE is for something very simple and easy. I have never heard about anything like this happening to anyone since I've been reading the VJ forums... I'm kind of surprised more people haven't commented on this thread.

Well LOL it's been 6 months on the 23rd of this month and no touches at all since transferred to CSC so I guess I thought I was the only one left but glad to here that there someone left in April still waiting with me, don't feel so bad now as I thought they may have just lost our file.
After 4+ months, I did my weekly check of the USCIS site, and now it says they mailed us an RFE on November 9! What the hell?! We had an RFE back in May, answered it, they approved his work and travel and sent our case to California Service Center... I have no idea what in the world this RFE could be for, but I'm already agitated about it!

Still nothing here as well... it's been nearly three months since work and travel authorization came through, and we were transferred to CSC, I really expected we'd have GC in hand by now!
Coming up on four months now... still nothing. Is anyone else from April filers still waiting? Is this going to take six months or more? He can travel and work, and that's great, but I wonder what's going on.

same here

I know this is going so sloooooooooooowwwww for us too. We were transferred May 23rd and no touches at all. So much for the speedy process at CSC.
We haven't heard a thing since our transfer to the CSC either. I figured we'd have the GC before August was over given everyone else's luck!

I remember someone asking this last year: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/279136-will-debt-or-bad-credit-prevent-a-fiance-visa/

If you look at the form I-9 and instructions for it: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-9.pdf you will see that the form states that he needs to show a document(s) that establish his identity and employment authorization. There are 3 lists of documents that are accepted for that purpose. They are in LIST A, LIST B, and LIST C.
Documents in LIST A fulfill requirements of establishing identity and work autorization; documents of LIST B fulfill the requirements of establishing identity only, and documents of LIST C fulfill the requirements of work authorization only.
The EAD card is on LIST A, meaning it proves who you are and that you are authorized to work. Social security card is on list C. He has EAD and that is all he needs. He is not required to show SS card when he shows EAD.
Thanks so much, missicy!

Hey guys, I have a question. I could probably search the rest of the forums but I know other people have been dealing with similar things recently too so thought it might be quicker to just ask it here. My husband's EAD card arrived a week or so ago, and he's already had some work offered through a friend. H's been told he needs to fill out his I-9, bring his I-766 (EAD card) and social security card on the first day. His social security card has the "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" across the front. This shouldn't be a problem, since his I-766 is the authorization, right? Am I correct in thinking he can't get a new SS card without this phrase until he receives his green card?
He's so eager to start work on Thursday, so I'd hate for anything to cause a snag!

First of all.. HUGH LAURIE WAS THERE! He was standing right next to me as I sorted out my courier stuff.
...
Also, trust me to meet Hugh Laurie in the one place you're not allowed to bring a camera! ARRRRRGH!
Ha! The day we went for our interview, both Larry Lamb (Archie Mitchell from EastEnders, Gav's dad from Gavin & Stacey) and Nigel Mansell were waiting next to us. I kept wondering who did their paperwork for them!
-
1)yes
2)they don't care.... a name does not make a relationship better
Thank you! We feel the same about the name.

Hi VJers, we've received the EAD/AP card in the mail and just waiting on our GC now. I am the USC, and I ticked the name change box on our marriage license when we got married in December at city hall. I changed my name on my driver's license, bank account, and social security card, but since we didn't have any international travel on the near horizon, waited to shell out the money to change it on my passport. I have two questions now:
1) If we wanted to book an international flight now, could I still book the ticket in my maiden name and use my passport, even though it's legally changed on all my other ID?
2) Even after seven months, my new last name sort of weirds us both out. I'd like to change back it to my maiden name. Would it cause any red flags for future ROC if our new paperwork showed me using my maiden name again, or would they even care? We're very happily married, but I miss my old name.
Thanks!

HEY, HEY, HEY!
Please dont forget me guys, I am getting there slowly, but surely. Got the great news email and Text, APPROVAL! of EAD, and Travel Document. Boy, am I moving slowly, compared to most of you guys. I am getting there however. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive card from approval? Thanks for not forgetting me April filers.
We received our EAD card a little over a week after the case status update. There was a holiday weekend in there, so it could have been even sooner!
-
Our case status has now officially entered the Confused mode, where each day it says they mailed us notice/ordered production of the card on THIS day, not the days they said it before. I'm glad I know from the forums here that's to be expected, and can just focus on waiting for the mail to arrive!
-
Well mine got approved June 1st, but they only mailed it on June 7th and I got it the 13th.. so just assume 4-5 days from when your status says "We mailed the document..." That's what I think
BUTTTTT I am assuming that the only reason mine was mailed the 7th even it was approved the 1st was because of the RFE, they probably delayed mailing it until I was back on RFE review, which was the same day
Okay, that's not too bad! Thanks, mbh.
-
About how long did it take everyone to actually receive their EAD/AP card after they were notified it was approved? Just wondering because N has already heard of a few job opportunities and it would be great if we could estimate whether or not we'll have to wait the full 30 days.
-
wow!! all in two months!! that's AWESOME news!! Congrats! I hope we get ours that fast!! Unfortunately ours will be over the holidays though, so maybe not
And it possibly could have happened even sooner if we hadn't gotten the RFE! Best of luck to you.

Just an update: our EAD and AP were approved yesterday! All thanks to Nich-Nick's awesome advice. HEED HER WORDS, VJers!

I'm still locked out of my account here (and have been for months, annoyingly) or would have updated sooner, but we received notification last Thursday, May 15, that our green card was in production, and should arrive by tomorrow!
