  1. Just got a email from the NVC saying they have scheduled my wife a appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Manila for September 6th. I guess them saying that all the appointments are scheduled in the second week of the month is not correct. Good luck to everybody else here too who is waiting.

    Called yesterday night and just recivied the email today for my wife appointment for September 7th :dance:

  2. NVC has now come up with new trick to ease their work load. While the IV fee status is updated as "PAID" in just one business day, they are keeping the AOS fee status "IN PROCESS" for over a week. Anyone with similar situation!

    Yes I had that happen I had paid the AOS and was already taken out of my bank and then Paid IV and was processe quickly with in one day it showed paid and they dealy the AOS for a week and I had to call them up to state it was already taken out my account and they had seen it that it took longer than normal to show "IN PROCESS" so they said they would have a supervisor check on it. The same day that I called it was already showing paid so that delay my paper work to be sent to NVC even longer which I was upset because I could had my wife appointment in August if they did mess around so much with us.

  3. Hello All.

    Hoping someone could clear up my question about the eligibility of I-864EZ..

    Under "Who May Use Form I-864EZ...

    2.The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on the Form I-130 petition;

    I'm sponsoring my wife and my stepson and I meet the income requirement. Since my wife and my stepson have their own I-130 petition, can I use the I-864EZ?

    Thanks in advance

    Yes you can if you meet all the requirements of income of having a household of three from poverty line requirement. To use I-864EZ is based solely on your income and make sure you have your letter from your employer as well and have four orginal from your employer to be sure if one gets lost through NVC so your wife has two orginal and you have one in case as a back up.

  4. Our case was completed July 6th and got an interview date of August 11.

    I guess you were lucky to get it because other did not have it in August I think someone had their case closed a day before you and did not get a interview.

  5. Yes, I said they frequently do, not all the time whistling.gif I myself never got a RFE, false or otherwise. But I frequently see people on here getting false RFEs for either the AOS or IV package.

    And what did your AVR say exactly? Was it about missing documents or they were sending you a packet?

    Yes AVR stated they were sending me a packet in which had never received yet and my case is closed.
