  10. Hey !! Thank you for posting the DHL tip. I found my package too! :)

  11. Hi there!! How was the interview?? Come share with us when you can!

  12. Hey there! The K-3 route is practically dead nowadays. We're doing the IR1/CR1 and it's been 5 months since we filed. Everything is at NVC we're just waiting for our case to be complete so we can get an interview date. Good luck!

  13. For the K3 you had to file 2 different petitions, the I-130 and the I-129F, it used to be done that way because the I-130 used to take a while to be approved, but waiting time has been reduced greatly. So its far better to go with one petition.

What you do basically is file the I-130 (ours got approved in 55 days), once its approved it moves to NVC (National Visa Center)

  14. and the NVC is the one that requests the 2 payments for IV and AOS (Affidavit of Support) and you file the I-864 and DS-230 to them. They are the ones in charge of reviewing all the info that you send so they can schedule an interview at the US Embassy in Nicaragua, if its approved that's where your husband gets his passport stamped.

  15. Yes, CR-1/IR-1 is definitely the way to go.

  16. No problem with the questions. I'm not sure about cheaper, I think it was about the same. The initial fee is $355 later on you'll have to pay for the AOS and IV

  17. Yes, first thing is the I-130 and a $355 payment with it.

  18. I can't say exactly but it can be anywhere from 2-6 months. Sometimes it's pretty quick, sometimes it isn't. But overall, it won't take longer than 6 months.

  19. Yes of course it is valid, you'll have to send in an original marriage certificate along with a translation.

  20. From what I can remember:

    I-130: $355.00

    AOS fee: $88.00

    IV fee: $404.00

    TOTAL: $847.00

To that you would have to add what you spend on getting the birth, marriage certificates, translation of documents passport photos, mailing them (Fedex for example), and the medical (which I think could be between $100-$200).

  21. Yes, if the immigrant enters as a CR1 (conditional spouse of a USC) then after 2 years you have to file a removal of conditions.
