Congrats!! I have mine tomorrow. How long did it take? I'm scheduled at 1:00pm for oath ceremony. Were there a lot of people?
Yay for tomorrow! My ceremony stated we had to be there at 830, which I was and we left about 1045ish. The first hour is just the applicants in the room checking in and handing in their completed declaration (back side of ceremony letter) and green cards. Then the family join and the actual ceremony is about an hour. The good news is Social Security Administration were at our ceremony and at the end you could line up there and apply for your new citizen social security card rather than having to wait 10 days and then go into their offices.
There were 111 applicants at my ceremony and we represented 43 countries. They call out the country names and you get to stand up to represent. It's cute watching each applicant looking around to see if anyone else from their country was there. I was the only New Zealander

I have passed the interview and already gotten the letter saying that "We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number IOE with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony."
Can't believe that!
Congratulations to you!!!!!!! My good luck mojo vibes worked lol
In other news....... at approximately 9.45 am CST this morning my 7 year visa journey came to an end when I became an American citizen. Good luck to those who are finishing their journey. The oath ceremony was a proud moment in my life, and one I'll remember for a very long time.

Can someone explain where the Rich Text Editor setting is so I can quote/update the timeline? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

thank you so much for such a lovely encouragement. i really need it. After all i have read on different forums it seems to me like "a horror movie"!!!
I was even more stressed out because I somehow managed to avoid/got let off having an interview both at the AOS and ROC stages and so this was the first time I had a face to face with a USCIS officer. Smile, be friendly, be confident. You have nothing to hide and you've done everything legal to get here. As long as you know your civics exam and you listen carefully to their questions you will be just fine! I'll send up some happy mojo thoughts for you on your interview day

Congratulations! my interview is on the next week.... i am very exited and worried at the same time.
Please dont be worried. I got myself so stressed out about the interview I was in tears on the morning of it, and it turned out to be just fine. Make sure you know all the questions in the book for the civics exam, test, test and test. After that it's pretty much just a conversation with the interviewing officer where they run through your application and you answer the questions you've already answered. My interviewing officer was lovely and we even had a couple of jokes during our conversation. It turned out to be a very big non-event, and you'll feel on top of the world once it is over. Good luck to you!

I had my Naturalization interview in Irving, Dallas
QUESTIONS: Number of representatives ; which month do you vote ; father of country ; Emancipation proclamation ; civil war ; supreme court judge.
READING: was asked to read " who is the President of united states"
WRITING: was asked to write " people came to be free "
The toughest part was the Personal questions:
The officer asked me nearly 40 personal questions in a rapid fire fashion...i felt they were trying to rush and see if you choke in the interview..
finally after all the adrenaline gush / stress.... the office smiled :-))
Waiting for my Oath !!!
Congratulations to you!!!

don't know what does this mean. IO was nice saying he will recommend for approval but heck box says different and no update on case status.
is anyone is same boat my PD is 7/12/2016.
interview 04/06/2017 dallas office.
55What time was your interview? We were probably there at the same time lol. The guy I interviewed with ticked the recommended for approval box and by the time I got him my online status had changed to you are in line for an oath ceremony. Not sure why yours does not say the same and I hope you don't have to wait too long for your decision.

Interview done and done! Passed the 6 questions of the civics exam, read a sentence, wrote an answer and the rest of it was just running through basic questions relating to my life and my relationship with my husband. Passed and recommended for approval so now we wait for the oath ceremony date. My interviewing officer was a really nice guy, and I'm very very relieved that the interview is done! Good luck those who still waiting for this stage of the process to be done.

It's interview day. I've actually managed to get through the whole process so far with no USCIS interviews. I didn't have one at AOS and I didn't have one at ROC so the nerves are running pretty high this morning. Wish me luck

I waited 9 months to get my interview date after filing, and some offices have longer wait times than mine.

You mean you they put you in-line for interview after 8 months since fingerprinted? Or you have not gotten any things yet?
I never got notice I was put in line for interview. There was complete silence between my fingerprints on 4 August and finding out I had an interview date. I got that letter in the mail about 2 weeks ago. No texts, no messages nothing. There was 8 months of waiting. And my FO isn't one of the slowest right now.

No, I did not include any passport photos in my original application nor was instructed to do so by any of the NOAs.
Thank you - I just realised when I reread the N400 checklist I didn't have to either since I wasnt outside the USA. Whoops! lol
