  1. Heather we were denied last year December of 2009 221G and they sent the case back to the USCIS, with a great lawyer Marc Ellis we got the case reaffirmed August 2010, we by passed the NVC, they sent the case straight back to the embassy! Now we are just on the countdown till April. It has been a long road. 2.5 years in the process looks like it will be 3 years total when it is all said and done assuming everything goes well this time, which I am assuming it will!

  2. Everyone is entitled to post what they want to post, freedom of speech. Quite frankly this process is long and stressful and we should be able to vent. If you don't like the 5 month complaining of NOAS then I don't recomend you ever check out the africa sub forum because most of us from Ghana constantly complain considering they are backlogged over a year from the time you are completed at the NVC until the time you get an interview. We have a right to complain, lol just saying!

And considering the people at the USCIS and NVC are clueless and always have a stupid response and barely can answer any questions, we defintly have a right to complain. Just my thoughts on this.

  3. You can contact them at anytime. If there is a wait at the consulate there is nothing you can do for example Ghana is a year backlogged for Cr1 interviews. People are still waiting from last year at this time for there interview after the NVC processed their paperwork, possibly your consulate is back logged too. You can try to expedite it, if you have a valid reason, nothing is gauranteed that they will approve it though. Good luck and just be patient. I know it is hard.

  4. Can someone please tell me how this works? When I initially applied for my husbands visa I applied for a CR1 visa but now we have been married well over two years. So when he goes to the interview, which I assume he is getting approved this time after being denied the first time, (wishful thinking) will they automatically know that he should get an IR1 visa ? or is this something we have to specify to the embassy? Thanks in advance.
