  1. Does anyone able to pick up their fiancee visa? How many days from the interview? Thanks :help:

you don't pick it up from the embassy, they deliver it via AIR21. You should get it within a week after the interview.

  2. Before my mom's scheduled interview day (may 12th).. I asked her to

bring some pictures of myself and my mom just in case the CO asked

for a pictures and he actually did... I guess to establish the relationship?

    I don't know...

AndresBonifacio, I haven't heard any parents who got a denial during interview.

You are right, It looks like its just a formality.

    GoodLuck to your folks!

    Joanne

yes, I know they always ask for pictures, my mom already prepared a lot of our pictures. I remember when I had my K1 visa interview 5 years ago, I brought like 50+ pictures of me and my fiancee but the CO only looked at one picture...

I was like..."I have more better ones, don't you wanna see it?"

  3. are you talking about parents that have never been to the US or those who were in the US ilegally? Big difference.

If your talking only about those who have never been here, it depends if they can establish a relationship between parent and child or not.

I'm talking about those petitioned parents who are still in their home country regardless if they've visited the US before or not.

If NVC approves the case and sends it to the embassy/consulate, doesn't it mean that a relationship between the parent and the petitioning son/daughter has already been established? BTW, the interview I'm talking about is the interview in the foreign country not the one here in the US.

  4. by the way, what other documents that my mom needs to bring on her interview. What about the original documents that I submitted at the NVC, does she needs to bring those too? My concern is we only have one copy and i submitted it to the NVC.

the needed documents will be on the appointment letter (these are the documents that where not submitted to NVC) , the original docs you submitted to NVC will be returned during the interview.

  5. Hi, I will be having my interview on June 3 at 7 am. Anyone having their interview the same day? I will have my medical on Monday and Tuesday May 17-18. Hope everything will go well. :)

my mom will have her medical on Tuesday May 18 (to 19), masyado daw kasi madami tao kapag monday sabi ng auntie ko.

kapag may nakita kang maingay na babae sa St. Luke's sa tuesady nanay ko yun.

  6. Good luck sa nanay mo. E good Luck mo rin ako dahil nauna lang ako ng 1 day sa nanay mo...ehehehehe

GOOD LUCK din sa iyo! kayang-kaya mo yan.

    Thanks guys!

  7. Supporting Documents missing or incomplete

[x] It appears that there is no proof of current employment (a recently dated job letter or pay stub).

Part 5 Sponsor's Income and Employment

[x] xxxxxxxxx current individual annual income is not listed on Line 18.

hmmm, I didn't submit any proof of employment too and I put ZERO on my income as I'm currently jobless but I didn't get an RFE like this. I used my wife's income but I didn't submit proof of her employment. Only docs I sent were income tax return transcripts from IRS. Maybe I just got lucky.

and YES, you need to submit those missing docs to NVC.

  8. I apply IR5 for my mom. My income was $20,000 last year, (my husband made another $20,000) we have 1 child so 125% above poverty line for 4 people should be $24,562. I dont make enough money for it but if we count the household income it should be fine.

Do I have to add my husband as a co-sponsor??

    Thank you

    20,000 < 24,562

so yeah you need your husband to file I-864A

  9. My fiancee is very worried about the upcoming election. She is in the Mindanao province taking care of her father who is critically ill. She must travel to Cebu to vote because that is where she is registered. She does not want to leave her father (he might not make it through the weekend) but the nurses at the hospital told her that it is very important for her to vote if she wants to get her K-1 Visa later. They have stressed this so much to her that she is adamant in leaving on Sunday to travel to Cebu just so she can vote on Monday.

I told her not to go. I told her I am sure that the government agencies issuing the K-1 Visa will understand her need to care for her father instead of voting.

Am I wrong? I cannot understand why voting would be that important towards her getting her K-1 Visa.

Can someone please tell me something that I can pass on to her soon?

    Thank you.

    Daniel

i didn't vote during the 2004 Elections and I got my K1 visa in January 2005
