Great. I am glad for you
-
No your presence is not required.

I am sure that someone else can guide you to the exact number. My solution is to go to USCIS and under check status, enter the numbers and find out the one that is accepted, that is the one I use. Also change postal address, but do not forget to comply with the USCIS change of address.

Insofar as address change refer above to milimelo

Mollie09,
I think that almost anybody reading my response would have gathered the fundamental meaning, DO NOT mail the packet prior to the specified 90 days. When I said they would "dump it in the basket", what I meant is that it was not going to be considered. They are not trashing it, shred or burn the packet. They will of course return it to the sender. The point again is, do not SEND the package prior to the specified time.
-
Fernanda, please do the required reading. If you search long enough in this website, you will surely find a section that deals in utmost detail on how to organize the packet you are about to send. There is a section on cover letters, etc. Please read and if you are not able to find the info, then come to the forums.

I agree with nightingalejules

As long as you return prior to the expiration date of the letter of extension and GC card, you do not need anything else except for the passport. I hope you are not expecting to receive a letter to schedule Biometrics appointment, because you would not like to fail that appointment. If not you are OK.
-
Typo it is 90, but I think you got the message. QueenComley, Sending it back or dumping it in the basket conveys the same meaning. Do you want to embark in a stupid argument? The answer remains, do not mail prior to the 90 days, period.

Typo it is 90, but I think you got the message.

ShawnSpilker,
Sunniland gave you the exact link. But nevertheless, you could have found all that info if you would have examined "thoroughly" all the contents of this website. When I was a novice, I spent hours searching all the different sections of the website as well as the forums. It appears to me that "some", not all the person that ask questions in the forums, are just plain lazy and do not do the work. I am sure I am speaking for many of the senior participants. I remember a questions about how to organize the packet you are about to send. Again, there is a section in this website that instructs you in detail on how to do it, stapling or not etc., how to pay, what to write on the check memo. Please guys, read first and if you cannot find an answer, then ask.

aleful is correct. The 864 applies and will continue to apply until such a time as the beneficiary becomes a US citizen.
-
I believe you should check the lastest communication you received for that number. EAC sounds familiar, but when you receive your Biometrics, it sometimes is updated. Remember the latest. Look closely and you will find it. Another way of knowing if you are correct is going directly to the USCIS website and entering the number you think is correct. You check on the section, My Status, and if the number is accepted and you get a notification, then you know that is the most recent number.

I would imagine that the extension would do or you can wait when you receive your permanent GC and do it then.
-
Remember that cell phone records, affidavits from friends and the like are NOT considered that important. The most important documentation that you can provide is proof of commingling of funds and proof of conyugal life together, bank accounts, life and health insurance, IRS transcripts for 3 years, leases, etc.

DO NOT file prior to the 30 days or they will dump it in the trash. Follow their instructions and forget about Donald.

Just explained to USCIS that you received the package damaged. The letter is only needed so that you can proved your identity. They would have a copy of the letter in their possession. They usually stamp the letter at the end, but I am sure they can give you a copy of theirs with a stamp that certifies you went to their Biometircs appointment. No big deal.
-
I do not know. It varies a lot. This website provides a possible timeline according to others results. Be patient but do no worry since you can always renew your extension letter.
-
You need your expired GC, extension letter and possibly your passport. Make sure the extension letter has not expired or you will need another one.
-
It does not ask you for passport photos.
-
I really do not understand why many people ask questions that are thoroughly explain in this website in complete detail. Please go to the section that informs you how to prepare your packet for submission and you will find all the info you are requesting.

Those are general questions that they always insert in all documents to further inform you that you should be truthful. Insofar as your divorce proceeding, I do not think you have to worry about that at this point. The only think you have to bring are your letter for the appointment and passport with visa or GC card, etc., according to the stage of the application you are in .

You did not explain who sent the letter about your daughter's truancy. I do not see what your daughter's truancy has to do with your proceedings with USCIS. I would imagine nothing at all.
