Here is the link about request for expedient process

    Expedite Criteria at USCIS

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The burden is on the applicant or petitioner to demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have been met. The criteria are as follows:

    Extreme emergent situation

    Humanitarian situation

If you are filing your application or petition:

You must provide a written explanation as to why the application or petition needs to be expedited. You may include supporting evidence with the request. Write “EXPEDITE REQUEST” at the top of your letter. When you file your application or petition, place your expedite request letter on the top of your documents.

You can contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. The NCSC will take a “service request” and forward your expedite request to the office with jurisdiction over the application or petition. 5. K, so we're in the final stage with the NVC... and expecting everything to be done soon (if we don't get an RFE, of course). Our baby should be born on September 17 and we were hoping I'd actually be able to have the baby in the US but time seems to fly and I'm not so sure that will happen anymore, since there's no chance for me to get an interview before August, in the best case scenario. Am I right? And according to the airlines I can only fly by the 36th week of the pregnancy.

So, what I wanna know is... what happens if our baby is born in my home country (Croatia)? What happens with the baby's paperwork if I have an interview before the baby is born? And what happens if I have an interview after the baby is born?

Any ideas if we'll have to file a new I-864 if the interview happens after the baby is born?

One more thing... if I get an interview in September around the date that our baby should be born, I'm not so sure I'll be able to go cause the US embassy is like 4 hours away from where I live and I don't want something bad happening to me on the way there. Do you think it would be possible to get a new interview date in that case?

I know it's alot of questions, but I'm hoping someone on here could know the answers.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ivana

:) me too have a baby and i did this in Ethiopia at US embassy.

First of all, congratulation on your baby... If you are a US citizen and if your babies born in my home country (Croatia) you can go to US embassy to the counselor (country Croatia) My linkChildren Born in Croatia to U.S. Parents

We have most of the documents ready for NVC (I think), but I can no longer find the information about Canadians opting to do Electronic Processing. Can someone link me please? Thanks!

  11. Yes, we are sooo happy!!!! Thank you for your kind words of support. It really means so much during this time.

You know, my husband and I have been calling the NVC every single day since May 24th when our paperwork arrived in their mailroom.

My husband would make his round of calls starting early morning and into the afternoon. Then wait for me to come home from work and we would do our nightly conference calls together. We must have spoken with almost all of their staff including Supervisors. Sophia, Anna, Jackie, Julie, Brad, Adam, Ethan, Dot, to mention a few that we can remember off the top of our heads. That is by NO MEANS a shout out to them, since all of them gave us different information and were extremely discouraging. They told us that my AOS was never received, and that we would never make July interviews.

When my AOS was in fact received on June 2nd!! Of course, we found that out tonight since our case is now closed tonight!!!

Sign in fail! something that all of the operators told us was impossible. Well, what do they know. that just goes to show you not to trust most of what they tell you. Even though they have a system, it is run by human beings who could forget to push a number, or scan a document, or sign in a binder, and then you would never know until the case was complete... which is what happened with my husband and I. This site has been so amazing. My husband and i went through timelines to come up with a formula and I put together an ideal "Production Schedule" for our case based on the avg. number of days people have been going through the nvc.

A worst case scenario and a best case scenario, and the best case happened, despite what the representatives were telling us. ******So please everyone, know this, continue to move ahead in your case with FAITH and believe that if you prepared everything as best as you can, that you will be fine, that time is on YOUR side, believe it and it will happen.

When they see organization and paperwork that is accurate and organized, it will help them to go through it quickly.

Trust me , they want to go through it as quickly as they can!!

Thank you to everyone who has helped us in moving through this process quickly by answering our questions.

and we are here to help anyone who has questions as well..

We are still waiting for our interview date., to be scheduled... yes yes, I know, I talk a lot, but it's a great day to celebrate, woohoo!!!!!!!

Time to celebrate for you :) and have a blessed weekend too!!!

  12. Hey thanks for the information, we are trying to be patient, but the imcompetence is just amazing, they can´t even see if somebody has it, its a total joke, and as I said, its called Customer Service, at least you had somebody nice to explaing you the situation, I mean its difficult to get an agent that will help you, its frustrating

Thanks for your support, we are trying our best not to loose it. God bless :(

So, meant2b2009 now you are happy? :) i tld you you'll get your SIF :)

  13. Hello Everyone...

My wife's interview went OK, except for the part where they found out that I messed up. I sent her the 2009 tax returns and forgot to include the W2s. How dumb of me!! I've been kicking myself ever since she told me that. But she did say that they told her to go home and email the W2s and that they will send out the passport and POE packet as soon as they receive the email. I hope I havent delayed the process too much by this one big ####-up!!

I'm so mad at myself right now.

P.S. I already sent her the email with the W2s. She's going to send it in by noon EST. Does anyone know if she will get an auto-reply to her email? How good are they at responding to queries? How long do they usually take?

So until she receives her package in the mail, I guess I cant celebrate... bummer :(:(

You'll be ok... you'll celebrate soon God be with you!!!!

  14. After 3 stupid RFE's and 2 supervison reviews today we FINALLY got a sif!!!!!!
