There is no “NOA1” for receipt of the I-130, or “NOA2” indicating its approval on DCF/Direct Consular Filing. Your case will not appear in the online USCIS database. There is no formalized way for you to check on your petition, but there is no need for you to check on it. Petition adjudication usually happens quite quickly which is real nice.
Good luck!!!

You can say that..NOA2 you are filing DCF/Direct Consular Filing
There are several advantages to filing I-130 overseas, speedier processing time being the main one. Additionally, overseas filers skip the National Visa Center pre-processing, saving several months which is real nice.
Policies are different from consulate to consulate. You need to requested permission spouses are allowed to come to the interview to do that ahead of time, but the consulate needs advance notice to put the name on the list of who to expect on interview. The USC is not allowed to approach the interview windowand.

Cool, so did you received your NOA1? If you do can you. Please enter your I-130 NOA1 time in your timeline...to find out how long...

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia will be closed for service from April 13-14, 2010 and will resume work on April 19, 2010. We apologize for any inconvenience this creates.

This is cool Electronic Processing at NVC. Applicants who are applying for a visa process electronically is it for all US embassiess? are eligible to participate. OR the option to participate is initially limited to visa applicants who are applying for a visa at the U.S. Embassies in Guangzhou, China and Montreal, Canada? only?

U.S. Embassy Consulate in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia *DS-160* As of February 15, 2010, applicants for official visas (category A and G) and crew members (category D) are required to use the DS-160 web-based non immigrant visa application, with all applicants required to use the form by early March 2010. This new application replaces the three forms that made up the Electronic Visa Application Form (EVAF).

I had everything ready for the DS230 packet. The day our NOA2 came, I signed and dated the forms, put them in an envelope and sent it via TNT to my husband. He received them in 3 days. Which was more than enough time till the IV bill cleared.
A lot of people also sign it and send it over to the USC petitioner. The petitioner dates it and sends it out when the time comes.
hi sachinky ...Yes, we can send DS-230 when the time comes viw mail, but can we still E-mail form DS-3032 with scan copy to NOV?

Regards to NVC:
You need to be careful to follow all the steps. One step at a time. NVC clearly states... DON'T submit anything before receiving instructions to do so. If you submit some things before they ask for it, it WILL result in a delay of processing.
HOWEVER, YES! You can prepare as many things possible ahead of time, so when you DO receive each specific instruction from NVC. You will already be prepared to respond (send things in) as soon as possible.
If you are sending documents by email, than of course... it will be a scanned copy of the original. This is acceptable ONLY if processing electronically (by email). But, your beneficiary MUST take and provide the originals and/or certified copies on the date of the interview at the embassy. (See the third link below regarding documents)
Here are some additional helpful links:
Best of luck!
Yes thank you, I read all the links and info you give me thank you :thumbs: ...Just like you told me "DON'T submit anything before receiving instructions to do so" ooo :unsure: No i'll not do that now... i'm just preparing myself
now i need to go back to the link you give me more reading to do

DS-230 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html
I-864 - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3730.html
General NVC stuff - http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html
Read all of those. That should help with general backgrounder info. Make copious notes.
The foreign spouse can send these things to you before NOA-2 date, sure, you betcha.
You can gain some speed, as well, if you are using the ONLINE PAYMENT PORTAL for NVC.

I'm a little bit confused about what you are asking. You mention you will have the beneficiary send the DS-230 and you also mention you will send the DS-230 with all the documents?
Basically, you send in the DS-3032 - once that is accepted and AFTER you pay the fee online, they you can submit the DS-230 and the original documents (a certified copy from the government agency that issues them) that go with it. It does not matter who sends them, you or your wife/husband.
Thank you, All i like to do was to prepare me and to save me time before NVC processing, to mail from East Africa to USA its like weeks and weeks...
Yes, i'll E-mail DS-3032 to NVC onece they accepted, to save time i like to send DS-230 and all original documents from here (USA) so, i was going to prepared before NVC processing, I'm the petitioner and can my wife send DS-3032 now with DS-230 package from East Africa to me? all the documents. completed and signed (ORIGINAL)?? When time comes to send it to NVC.

Hello i'm just asking this to save time
Preparing Documents Before NVC Processing
I'm the petitioner and i'm going to be the agent can my beneficiary send DS-3032 now with DS-230 package? all the documents. completed and signed by beneficiary (ORIGINAL)?????
I'm trying to have all the documents in my hands, before the NVC process begins. This should be done BEFORE I-130 petition is approved to save time
When i become a agent do i send all documents to NVC with DS-230? like
* Marriage certificate
* Police Certificate so on...
Thank you
