My checks were cashed yesterday as well.
One step ahead, yay!

I have been scouring the internet (and my wife on a Korean site for married Korean women in USA called MissyUSA) and found this apparently has only happened to people from NYC (at least from the posts we found), and even then, it is a hit or miss. It's very unlikely you will be rejected for the same reason.
So weird...
That's sucks. On the instruction says that it's ok to make one combine check but they rejected because of that? #######.
Send whole pkg along with rejection notice so that at least you can show that you did what they ask.
Hope everything goes well.

Good luck to all April filers!! May your journey be quick & successful
Thanks.

YAY! got my interview letter for May 13th.
awesome!!
congrats
-
That's weird. If you requested a return receipt, you should have gotten it. It's been plenty of time for you to get a receipt.
Why don't you ask to post office?
Hope everything goes well.

My wife and I sent our package out on March 28th (Chicago concurrent I-130 I-485), was received March 31st, but we have not yet received the return receipt. I know the NOA might take some time, and will come after the checks are cashed, but how long does getting the return receipt? It's strange.
According to other vjers, you should get NOAs within 10days but depend on location, it takes shorter or longer than 10 days. So let's hope that our journey will be as smooth as it should be.

I totally forgot about that because I know USCIS says that the Account holders name has to be on the blank checks, and the ones they gave us didnt so we just ordered some:blush:
Only took 3 days to get here too
That was fast. So ready to mail the pkg now?
I'm still nervous..
-
According to their timelines, that's what I thought too.
I'll also try to walk-in biometrics when time comes but I don't know that they'll allow me or not. I might have to go to Oakland CA office for biometrics. Is there anyone have done it at this office?
-
congrats!
I'm so happy for you.

So glad that we are having more people on the same boat. WTG~
-
wow~that's great!!
You guys meant to be each other!!!
-
Oh~ I used priority + signature confirmation service. You can track your pkg.
-
It's ok to send through usps. They are very responsible for immigration materials.
I also sent by usps got there safely and properly. It's totally up to you. If it makes you comfortable, then go ahead use fedex or ups. That's totally fine.
-
Hope you get an approval letter soon.
My interview place will be sf as well.

thanks Alla. Question with the packet do we have to send this :
I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status
I could not find this form!
You have to see a civil sergeon. He/she will fill out the form and give it to you in a sealed envelope(do not open the envelope). Then, you can mail all together.
Good luck!
-
If you don't have a plan to travel in near future or overstayed, then you don't need to mail I-131.
BTW, you need 2 pics for I-765 though. It says on the instruction.
-
I also strongly think that your category is c9.
-
Hey, guys!
I sent the pkg today. I'm on the same boat.
So glad we can share each other.
-
Thanks for replies.
As just Bob said, I'm thinking about adding a little of info about us, then it'll be 2 pages.
Is the cover letter ok to be 2 pages?
-
Hi, Vjers,
Here is my cover letter. Does it look ok? Do I miss some docs?
Please give me any input.
Thanks.
