Well technically, it is Kid Rock related. As Uncle Kracker was Kid Rock's dj & Kid Rock helped Uncle Kracker start his solo career. And, Uncle Kracker was on the Kid Rock cruise & sang this song while Kid Rock was across from us on the ship!

I think Aug will be our month to hear something. I agree the interview won't be until Oct. but it would be nice to hear something so we can start to plan. Book wedding, sell house, give notice at work, have a big party with Canadian friends & family & start packing!!!!

MSR and I decided we shoudl make a "scheudale" of when to call so that we dont have to fuss and call multiple times a week etc. I see you call every Wednesday, I have chosen Friday, adn MSR Monday, would you be up for "reporting" back on our wall's on WEdnesday about what you did or did not find out adn then we can do the same to yours?

Make sure when you call for your appt. ask what they accept for proof of your case. I went to Toronto, so they were ok with what I brought. Hopefully Medsys will let you do the same.

Yup, they are verrrryyyy slooooowwww. Apparently due to staff shortages, summer, Haiti, the earth moved, it rained, it snowed, it's sunny, you name it.

Our p3 was logged on Aug.,02!...Do we need to wait for p4 to get the medical done?

No. As long as you have something from MTL with your case # on it. I took my NVC letter & P3. I totally forgot to photocopy the checklist. But they seemed satisfied with both.

Scott & I met because of the Kid Rock Cruise. We met in person in Toronto at a Kid Rock concert Labour Day w/e last year. We fell head over heels in love. This past April was the Kid Rock Cruise & we got to tell Kid Rock that because of him we met, got engaged & are getting married. He was really surprised. Not sure if he was surprised we met because of him or surprised that I had my hand on his #### the whole time we were talking to him. LOL!

Interesting question. It never dawned on me that they could do that. I use it about 2x a month to cross as well, but nothing has ever been said. I think we can still use it after AOS as well, but need to change our address.

I bought my dress at Bridal Belle in Rochester NY. I walked in there & had the best service I have experienced ever. They were fab-u-lous! Just out of curiousity, I tried a few stores here in Ontario, & was I ever disappointed! They did not help me in any way. So I went back to Bridal Belle & got my dress. I haven't seen it online, but I will try to find a pic. Has anyone heard of barefoot sandles? Sounds like an awesome time! Are you guys planning on staying a bit for an immediate honeymoon? Or going home right afterward? I think if Andrew had a bigger family in Canada, we may have considered a "neutral" location for a destination wedding--as it is, I grew up in the Philadelphia area, and he's got a very small family, so we found the perfect place here. Are you doing a beach ceremony? What kind of dress did you pick out?

We are very excited about Hawaii! We are planning on being there for a week. Thurs. to Thurs. with the wedding on the beach at sunset on the Sat. Neither of us have big families. So, it will be small no matter what.

My dress is strapless, with that scrunched fabric look on the top & I will get it altered to make it a high low cut, since it's on the beach. I don't want anything long.

What does your dress look like? What colour is your girls wearing? What are your honeymoon plans?

AHHHH I know the feeling, good old wedding date on the run trick. I probably won't get an interview in a while but I'd like to follow along... cause when you guys are done, I'm up! Sent our P3 on July 28 and have spoken with the consulate via email since regarding our file... if any of you have seen me around the forum you'll know we requested an expedite since my fiance is in the military and has a limited window of free time till he has to come and go on an undetermined schedule... haha long story. Anyways, Montreal is aware of our case and gave us the good old 'we will give you an interview as soon as possible' line. The have not responded to our last email, so I doubt we'll gain much out of it.

I can't wait for the next K1er to get an interview date. It's been since June that someone's been issued a date.

I'm basically to the point where I can't do anything else to prepare. I've already got my dress--waiting a few more weeks to start alterations, but basically that'll just be a hem and bustle. Bridesmaids dresses are ordered (it's just my 2 sisters) and should be in in a few weeks. We've got all of the big vendors picked out--photographer, hair/makeup--and they've all said they're anticipating a slow November this year. Honestly, we're keeping it on the small side--about 40 people, the venue we've chosen is perfect for our smaller guest list and shorter amount of notice--it's the General Warren Inne in Malven, PA--a gorgeous little bed and breakfast type place, with a top notch restaurant that operates all the time.

What about you? Any big (or small!) plans you've been able to make?

I have my dress ordered. Should be in this month so I can start alterations. We are keeping it very simple. We are planning on Hawaii. I was stressing to make things affordable for family & friends to come but then I just said %@#* it! This is OUR day. We just said to everyone if they want to & can afford to come, they are welcome to. If not that is ok too. Maybe a small few will come. We will probably do some sort of party when we get home.

Agreed. I've been looking for mental diversions for the past 2 months, wishing I could be booking wedding stuff. We're hoping for an interview by October and wedding in November!

We are hoping for a Oct interview as well, but wedding in Dec. VERY VERY frustrating that we can't book anything until we get a date from MTL. Grrrr.

Nice to see all of you! It helps to have a "group" of people in the same boat as us.

So, keep in touch & maybe we will have to bring over the donkey & midget from the Feb. filers forum to help us get our interview dates!
