What are the pros of naturalizing? Do I really have to? I'm finding it hard to come to the decision of becoming an American. I know I will always be Canadian but...

When I went for my interview they asked if I had a Nexus & of course I had to say yes. I just wondered if they flagged it or something on my approval so I wouldn't travel back & forth using it before I activated the K1 visa. Anyways, that scared me enough to stay in Canada until I POE'd.

OP, you can travel back n forth until the actual interview. Bring proof of ties to Canada. As the others have said, schedule the interview to work out with your plans. Best of luck on your journey!

Peter and I got notice today that our case was transferred to CSC today! We are so, so happy, we immediately woke up and celebrated in a style that only Poacher would be proud of. The midget and donkey returned for their final hoorah.

Got my EAD card on the mail yesterday... now only the AOS, but let me ask this, the EAD is only for one year, is that i dont need it after i get my GC? because i dont see in the ROC anything about getting another EAD card or anything, just curious.

Once you receive AOS you don't need AP or EAD for anything.

Someone actually called and check uscis before about this. I can't remember where. Basically this is what happen in uscis

First email on card production- our data is sent for production

2nd email on card production- card is ready to be send out to us via usps

3rd email will be change to post decision activity- basically our card is with usps and will be reaching us anytime and the process is complete.

I guess sometimes we still received updates because they either accidentally scan our data or they probably working on our other forms like I485. I have my 485 and 130 approved during interview but they only updated the 485. My 130 is still on initial review. Same goes to my AP.

Don't worry about it too much.

This is driving me Crazy...

I got a email last night saying that my AOS card is in production. I got the same email this morning. Then just a little while ago I got a email saying Decision. Is this normal??? These emails are driving me bonkers..lol..At one point I could not wait for a email from them..and now..well, it's making me nervous..

I might add that I was transferred to CSC and did not get a approved email notice before the card/production notice.

The same thing is happening to me! My AOS & EAD were approved on Feb 11th & AP on Feb 12th. Everyday it bounces back & forth between Decision & Card Production. Crazy. At least they are thinking of us. LOL!

My AOS & EAD were approved on the 11th, AP was approved on the 12th. Everyday I've been checking the USCIS website, & everyday it changes. It keeps bouncing back & forth to Decision to Card Production. What is with that????

The forms to filled are less but you have to get witnesses, bills together, taxes file together... a lot of stuff and is for ten years... is too much things Jesus!!!

I have tomorrow an interview, if you believe in God please pray for me, if not wish me luck, lol.

Joe and I are gearing up to submit my AOS/EAD next month. Question, so I'm under the impression that the EAD typically arrives within 3mths of submission. So what's the average timeline of acquiring the Greencard? 18mths as mentioned here and there? And I thought I saw somewhere that once we've acquired the Greencard, we have to renew it in 2yrs time? I'm confused on that part.

All 3 of mine were approved in about 76 days. Just now waiting for them in the mail. The greencard is usually longer than the EAD & AP. Depends on if it gets transferred to CSC or if you have an interview etc. The greencard expires in 2 yrs, yes, but 3 months before it does you have to apply for ROC, Removal Of Conditions. I think that is the 10 yr green card.

I have great news! My AOS & EAD were approved on the 11th & my AP on the 12th!

I just checked the USCIS website...on Feb. 11th my EAD & AOS were approved & ordered for production!

Nothing yet on AP...

My EAD got approved today, yayyyyyyy exactly one month after my Bio, yayyyyyyy
