Less than 15 hours and wifey will be in the U.S for good!!! So excited!

Booked my ticket to see the wife. 7 more weeks! woohoo.

Interview today and Visa was approved!!!!

So i was thinking. Even if i was able to get the PCC early and then sent it in with the DS-230 form, you think NVC would red-flag it since almost all people from Gujarat cant get it without an RFE? Im sure they would wonder how i was able to get it when others couldnt.

But yea, im currently trying to get it through a friend at the police station in AMD.

WEll wife is all freaked out that we will get in trouble by getting the PCC early so she wont do it the "sneeky" way. I really hate how everyone in India think they are an expert, so they all give advice to her saying we will get in trouble if we get the PCC early. UGH.

I talked to the guy at NVC about the PCC. He said my best action is to send in the DS-230 without the PCC and get an RFE for it. Then take the letter showing the RFE to the passport office. UGH seems like a waste of time. Please let me know if your uncles letter works for you.

Ha i doubt ill get the September interview. Wife was excited, she was thinking we wouldnt get it till first week of August. Now i need to get everything ready, i have everything from her that i need besides PCC of course.

Wife has given up thinking the NOA2 wont come till August. I still have hopes for July!

Nope nothing. Just going to wait till i get the checklist via email and have her print it out and take it to the PCC office. If you find any new info let me know.

Damn i just did a search, you right. Weird, why did i assume we had a choice in it.. wifey isnt going to be happy that i cant be in the interview with her now. Guess I will tell her once the NOA2 shows up. Some good news and bad news type of deal.

You sure? They gave me options on the I-130 from i think. I picked new Delhi there. I dunno.

I forget but why did you pick mumbhai over New Delhi? Im still debating which one to go to. I keep hearing more APs are from New Delhi so its kinda on my mind.

Thanks bud! Yea im thinking next week is my time! Yikes. This weekend ill start preparing everything needed. You decide what route you will take for the PCC? Wait for the checklist or just mention in letter that it will be shown at interview?

well remember, my wife already changed her passport within a month ago. So only need the local PCC, rite?

Do we HAVE to get it from the passport office? The local police station said they would give it to her same day once they see the checklist. She has also sent me papers before, only took 5 days to get to me via DHL.

Yea i guess she will go to PCC in AMD once she gets the checklist in hand.

From the looks of it shes not going to be able to get ANY PCC before the checklist. I think i will have to just wait till its mailed to her, then her going to AMD to get it. Ugh, what a waste of roughly two weeks then.

Nope, she didnt get it yet. She will be trying to get it from the local Anand department though. I think shes going either tomorrow or Monday.

I dont see anything in that PDF file that states about the PCC only needed for the interview.. plus that document is from 2009.

Do you have a link about bringing the PCC to the interview? I just assumed there will be an RFE since its missing from the IV package.

Anand PCC is tricky and took my wife a lot of convincing to get it without the checklist. They really didnt take her serious until she offered money. Think she ended up paying around 1600rs for it. They did ask for a lot of documents like a copy of marriage cert, passport, voting card, etc..

Doesnt hurt to go there and try. If you arent able to get it then send in the DS230 and get ...
