Little_My's advice in this thread was quite accurate and reasonable.
Is humility part of the credentials, or will it be? A simple and honest question, semi-rhetorical, and more food for thought than in need of an open, immediate answer. It may also be found that immigration lawyers are not always entirely respected in several corners of VJ, due to very well-documented Errors & Omissions to which they seem to be prone.

I have an Ivy League education, am pursuing immigration law, and am actually in the process of removing conditions. Not that I'd call them "credentials" and surely none compared to you "Mucho Elder Member". But, I'm getting there!

I feel bad that you're in this situation; I hope you are able to get out of it soon. It may get worse before it gets better so your should protect yourself. If you wife has physically hurt you and left marks on your body you can file a restraining order with the police as long as you don't hit her back. Also even if she doesn't hit you, but threatens to do bodily harm you can get a restraining order. Once you do this she has to leave the house or you do. I would suggest that you leave because she might try to hurt you. You will might have to stay at a free shelter or pay for a cheap hotel in your area for like a week until you get a paycheck to rent a place. You should also get a safety deposit box at the bank to keep your green card and any other valuables there so no one can get it or find it. Or you can also lock them up at your work in a desk drawer. You're in a horrible situation, but you need to stay strong to make it out. Just stay focused and strive for a better future.

K1-Seeker got a reaction from Arash Archer in Problem about cancelling an appointment with US COnsulate through evisaforms.state.gov web site (help needed) (Non-immigrant appointment)
Well if you provide the complete URL (address) of the cancellation page I may be able to tell you what's going on. Usually they have static html pages meaning someone typed in the appointments and
someone has to take them off manually. If it is a dynamic page where the system does everything real time(instantaneous) then there may be a problem with the site. I'd say still wait 24 hours and then check again.
