Hello,
My Fiance received the instructions packet along with the interview letter. Included in the packett were forms:
DS 156 (I already completed)
DS 156K (I already completed)
DS 157 (Suplemental Non Imigrant Visa Application)(Complete)
DS 230 Part I (confused)
Is Form DS-230 PartI required for a K1 cases or is just for k3 cases? I read through it and I noticed that several questions are about spouse information. How should I answer these questions? or is this form even required at this point or at all.
Please help....

Hello all,
My case has reached the US Embassy (Skopje, Macedonia), is there a way to check (online) if an interview appointment date has been set? if so, how???
Thank you,
-
I had the same question a week or so ago, so i spoke to my lawyer and i also sent an email to the Consulate. Both answers were similar which made me believe they were correct. If the interview is AFTER 15 April 2010, you will need to provide proof of youe 2009 income tax return. If the interview is BEFORE 15 Arpil, your 2008 incime tax return/transcrips will be acceptable; along with a copy of your 2010 W2.
Anyways my case just reached the Consulate and I'm not sure when the interview will be. But just incase i went ahead and filed last week. I had to hired a Professional Accountant to do my taxes, i work overseas and my case is a little complicated, but he had them done and filed with three days.
Good luck to you....

Not all Clerk's use the old-fashioned embossing device.
USCIS understands this.
NVC just sent my case to the Consulate (Skopje Macedonia) and i was reading this post, i decided to to check my divorce decree. (Texas does not give divorce certificates).
My final decree has a stamp and a signature from the judge and court house. My only concern is my signature, my ex-wife's signature and my attorney's signature are not the original signatures. I was overseas when my divorce took place and my attorney emailed me and my ex-wife all the documents, we signed them and emailed back to her (attorney)so when she finally put the final decree together all she had was copies of the documents with signatures. The judge's signature and the courthouse stamp/seal are original. Please advice me if you think this is going to be OK or not. By the way, I'm still overseas and it's going to be very difficult to obtain another copy of the decree with all original signatues.

Hello everyone,
I keep reading on different forums about K1 cases don't spend much time at the NVC; noted. I want to give them a phone call to see if thre has been a case number assigned yet. What questions should I be rady to answer. I have a copy of my I129F approval readely available. Please someone advise me what other documents should i have readely available in case they ask.
One more thing, how can i register my email address with the NVC so i can receive updates on my case???? I'll be making the call in about 20 minutes.....wish me luckkkkk...
-
congrats!!!
you'll receive an email and a hardcopy of them
nope
NVC will send you a letter with your case number
now you fiance can start to prepare the package 3
We hired a lawyer and we sent her all required documents from the beggining of this process. So we have pretty much everthing already. Just waiting for some news from the NVC. I keep seeeing on different forums about people calling the NVC to get a case number, I think i'm going to give them a few days and i will make the call. I never received any emails from USCIS eventhough i registered and requested to be emailed. do i need to give NVC my email address or will they use my contact info from the USCIS site. Please help.....
I'm in very unique situation, me and my fiance work together in Iraq, but she has to take a vacation to her country (macedonia) for the medical exam and the interview, so her vacation dates have to be very precise and hopefully we she can complete evertyghing during her vacation window... We will try to complete packet 3 from here via internet and with assistance of our lawyer. We are hoping to go to Macedonia for the medical and interview....that would be nice...

Hello Everyone,
I received approval (email) of my I129f (NOA2) on 25 Feb 10, and I'm so excited to reach this level. But now some other questions come into play. (1) How will i know when my case reaches NVC? (2) Is there a NVC website to track my status? (3) how can i get a NVC case #?
Thank you all,
-

Hello everyone,
I'm very happy about my NOA2 approval notification. Now I have some questions i would like to receive some assistance with: where can i find information about the next step?
where can i find the date my case is sent to NVC?
where can i find the date when NVC receives my case?
where can i find the date NVC sends it to the consulate?
and last but not least, will there be a different case number assigned to my case? or will i continue with the USCIS case number?.
Oh yeah, last thing, is there a forum specifically for post NOA2 posters?

You can see that info here. This is for VSC.
Thanks for the link....have a nice day.......Big hello from FOB Diamondback Mosul, Iraq
-
WOW!!! I logged in this morning (nursing a hangover and a busted knee - let off a little too much visa-related steam with work people last night!!) to see a lovely row of approvals from yesterday from October and November
Go VSC!!! More of the same at the same rate or faster please!! Woot!!
Hello,
Where did you see the "lovely row of approvals from Oct and Nov" please share the link.
-
we're november 4th filer too. it's not just that day that they skipped so don't feel bad about it. ours is coming soon, don't worry.
~M~
Congrats Ash! happy for you
Nov 2 filer; patiently waiting...come on,,,come on.....

Woo Hoo...!!!
My NOA1 date is the 9th so hopefully i'll hear something in a few days too.
I hope you get good news soon, My NOA1 date is the 2 Nov so i hope to hear something soon as well.....My lawyer is charging a nice fee for her services (what services?? she ain't doing squad...) I just hope all the documents were in order before she sent them....I tried to use an expsdited method but, my lawyer thought that hardship was not strong enough, so she didn't even try.
Here is my "Hardship" I'm not sure if i fall under the Military category or not. Im not in the military, but me and my fiance work in Iraq for DOD with DOD deployment orders. The only good thing about my case is that my fiance is here with me 24-7. We work in the same building, and we sleep in the same building LOL (keep it on the low low...cohabitating is not allowed on Mil bases in Iraq) heheheh....So, i was wondering if is a good idea to call USCIS and pleed my case. My lawyer keeps telling me to be patient and she keeps thowing the 5 month waiting period at me.......108 days have passed since noa1....not bad....but it could be better.....

I received my green card feb 12th, and i was wondering...can i work now?
I need to get my SSN, i'm worried because my husband read somewhere that i need to fill another document out for a work authorization.
By the time, we decided not to send the I-765 because we were close to receive the green card anyway.
Does someone knows if i still need to apply for the work authorization even with the green card in hands?
Thx
Congrats,
If you haven't done so, apply for a SS# and once you get it you'll be ready to hit the job market....
vr,

They slowed down. It looks that they are moving to 4 months. I hope that you will receive a good news soon.
Yeah, I have so many things to plan for, but it is difficult to do so with knowing when the next USCIS notice is going to come. My case is a bit different; my fiancé is from Macedonia, but we both work for a US company in Iraq. She is going to have to travel from Iraq to Macedonia for the interview and other things that come before the interview (medical etc). Therefore; without knowing when the next notices will come, it is hard for us to submit our vacation dates request. Just hoping for some good news.....
-
Hello,
Is it just me, or it seems like there is little to no forward movement on the 2 Nov 09 cases (NOA1 to NOA2)...What is going on with VSC?????
-
Hey there fellow VJ! Is anybody here submitted their I-129F last November 2009 at VSC and already got their NOA2? I just want to know because it's over 3 months since we send ours and no NOA2 yet. Keep me posted please...
My NOA1 notification was on 2 Nov 2009; my case has not been "touched" since. I'm trying to stay calm and positive hoping to hear some good news soon. I hope we all get good news SOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNN.
